Well tonight you'll find out for sure.

The main reason Hopkins fights the way he does now is because of his age.

He can't afford to be drawn into a fight with Calzaghe.

Hopkins knew a long time ago that he had to change things and conserve energy.

The guy has been old for years and knows it. ;)

If Calzaghe can force Hopkins to fight, giving him no room to breath he may end up breaking Hopkins down imo.

Of course Hops is a crafty **** on the inside and has some good staright shots to **** Calzaghe off, especially his right hand, but if Joe can get past that and force Hops to trade, the old man is goingto look like an old man imo.

Calzaghe can throw down like a mad man for every minute of every round.

    I don't think Hops can.

Saying all this though Calzaghe has never fought anyone with the status andfskill set of a Bernard Hopkins before.

What i'm really hoping for is that Calzaghe can force Hopkins to go to war.

I'd love top see what Hops is realy made of at this age if Calzaghe can go all "Baby Bull" on his old ass.

I think it's up to Calzaghe to make this a fight to remember. :good

There is no way that Calzaghe is going to break Hopkins. It's likely he'll outbox him and win, but breaking Hopkins down is out of the quesiton. He is always in great shape, even for a peak athlete - not just a 40 yo man.

Until the weigh in, i thought they were about the same size but it's clear that Hopkins is the bigger and stronger man. I see him utilizing this advantage.

I don't expect a very good fight based on some of the points you made. Expect lots of clutching, grabbing, and dirtiness from Hopkins.
And if he's losing, things could really get ugly. For all the hype this fight is getting, you'd think people are expecting a classic. I think it could be a real stinker.

Well i know that Calzaghe can trade like a machine for the entire 12 rounds.

Now that's being in great shape.

    Can Hopkin's do it though?

We'll see how fit Hopkins really is for his age IF Calzaghe can force him to go to war.

I think Calzaghe trying toi outbox Hopkin's is a mistake tbh.

He needs to force the old man to fight.

What is this talk about Hopkins looking bigger than Calzaghe. They look pretty much the same if you ask me.

Where do you think Joe's weight is, as they weighed the same?

His legs; where do you push people about with? Your legs :good

Calzaghe has stuggled with 168 for a while. Hopkins did'nt struggle with 160 and coud have made 154 if he wnated to. Of course Hops always kept himslef in shape where as Calzaghe would munch on pasta.

Hopkins did look taller and bigger but calzaghe has never looked big or muscled up.

If we went on the way fighter's looked then Lacy would have whooped that ass.

I know how strong Calzaghe is but hopkin's is old, been out for a long time and did'nt look good against a blown up Wright.

You really think Hops can handle Calzaghe in a war?

Of course Calzaghe has got to get Hopkins into a war first. ;)

Hopkins had better definition and had more mass in places that count like the shoulder and chest area.

And in his last fight he looked exactly the same against a fat Winky Wright.

The way both Hopkins and Calzaghe looked when they weighed in means nothing.

Calzaghe has never been a muscled up fighter anyway.

Hopkins is always in good shape. Great shape actually - particularly for a guy his age. Obviously he won't be able to fight at the pace he was able to fight at when he was 33 or even 23 for that matter. But so what? He has enough savvy and ring craft to give Calzaghe a hard time. Not enough to beat him though.
