Working on it somehow in all my matches ive never or apparently none have been taped. I dont like the pressure so I dont invite freinds to watch me so they cant video tape it. At my last tournament a guy who I RNCed and a guy I lost on points to both said they where putting a video online but I cant find ****. Ive literally typed in every possible thing looking for them. One day ill probably just try to record me rolling at the gym or something and look for feedback from ESB.

sorry..I have to say toney beats yea....i have made my decision..and it stands as gossple now... :hey

lol..yea he would never do any fancy movies...but i have to assume he is strong (by all reports he is) i still maintain that even in his old fat state he has more athletic ability then most....and he did train for 6 months or so..i have to imagine he would be...well not as easy as some thing...

You are putting way too much emphasis on raw strength. If you don't know what to do with it, it isn't going to make that big of a difference. I said what Randy would do before he ever fought Toney. Against a guy like that...you shoot LOW... a low, shoestring single around the ankle. You don't even have to deal with their strength. You cup the back of the heel and drive your shoulder pressure into the shin... they drop to their ass... and it's over from there because a guy like Toney is a fish out of water on his back.

Back when I wrestled as light as 125 LBS, I could toss around our 260 lb heavyweight like a rag doll. He wasn't even that bad. I was just way more experienced (wrestled since I was at the tail end of 5 years old), and I knew how to use his strength, weight, and momentum against him. It's mostly about angles and leverage.

For instance... when I was 152 lbs... They brought in a heavyweight wrestler who was actually very good at that time. He came to our practice because he didn't have anyone else to wrestle at his own school. I ended up going against him in a takedown game after practice. I purposely shot a sloppy sweep single to the outside of his right leg. I did this because I knew his reaction would be to sprawl back with his right leg, causing him to plant his left hand on the mat, as I wasn't directly underneath him... the second that his left hand touched the mat, I locked around the left arm with my right arm, rolled to my side with his left arm tucked tight under my body, while also lifting his right leg with my left arm.... this is known as a "Barrell Roll" in wrestling, which is like a common "dump" but with the outside leg for extra assistance.... He immediately went to his back and I leaped directly into what is basically an arm triangle position.... and even with all of his weight... over 100 lbs on me.... there was nothing he could do. I pinned him in about 20 seconds after all was said and done. Now this was a Heavyweight with a lot of wrestling experience. Someone like James Toney would simply have no idea how to grapple/wrestle with a person that has a lot of experience. Sometimes it's really hard to explain to a person that doesn't have that kind of experience.

BTW, I see you guys wanting video of other people chimming in. Well, all of my wrestling videos are VHS... but I did take some shitty pics off of the TV screen for some members who wanted to see some pics about 5 years ago on ESB.

Here are some that I could find.

Being a world class in sport like boxing, makes you a world class athlete.

I would understand what you said if we were talking about some world class curling player. He wouldn’t necessarily be a world class athlete but top boxers most certainly are.

Having some fat doesn’t mean man can’t be athletic.

What sorts of atheltic events do you think Toney would be good at? Endurance? Speed? Raw fat based strength?

I think out of those three he would be best in Endurance.

He would probably surprise many here with his speed as well.

He has pretty developed upper body, so I think he has plenty of strength. Having fat doesn’t mean anything when measuring ones Strength.

He would probably beat 99.9% of posters here with majority of those tests.
He is gifted natural athlete, who is top tier in his chosen sport. Having some fat doesn’t mean that every Sunday sports man is more athletic than him.
