You want to see Canelo tested? Put him in with James Kirkland

Kirkland had his surgery in May. Everything went smoothly and his doctor said he'd be well enough to fight by September, which ended up being the date of the Canelo fight. But if Kirkland did in fact feel like he needed more time to recover, he shouldn't have agreed to the fight only to pull out the following day. And after pulling out with the claim that he needed more time, why come back pricing himself out by making ridiculous demands? It was clear by Kirkland's response that he viewed Canelo as a serious threat and was having cold feet. He did everything but ask for GB to pay for his funeral expenses. Wolfe (like the boxing public) most likely agreed that he was being a ***** for passing on a career high payday and a title shot, because he ended up turning on her and the rest of his own team shortly thereafter, claiming they were trying to sabotage his career. The guy clearly has issues.

 

Kirkland won't beat Canelo.

 

Kirkland is monster, he has a cold chin so if u put him down u better makesure u put him away.

Would be a great fight, unfortunately its not gonna happen, the best Canelo can do is fight Lara, what's left of Cotto or move up & fight Kid Chocolate.

That's a good fight. It is not because we need Canelo tested. He foght Money May for f sakes. If that's not a test, I don't know what it is.

& kirkland doesnt have a very good chin.

I do want to see this fight next...if they dont make cotto/Martinez or Lara.

 

Kirkland is tailor made for Canelo. His defense is abysmal and canelo would get rid of him inside 6 rounds , maybe even earlier.
His last fight he got tagged hard and at will, and Tapia is really inexperienced.
Ann Wolfe is not helping either with her ridiculous training methods as well.

 

Kirkland gets stopped quicker than Angulo but it would also be an entertaining fight.

I would be scared for Canelo the day he fights Kirkland .

Kirkland is relentless and refuses to lose . Kirkland is a real threat to Canelo . His willpower is just so impressive .

If Kirkland can make it out of the first couple of rounds I think he puts up a better fight then Angulo.
