I don't care what the cynics say, I'm really really excited about this fight. Of course logic and rationality point to a GSP UD, but fighting isn't always logical/rational - Matt Serra is one of many fighters who has proven that. Considering how rattled GSP got just by getting marked up against Shields, I really feel Diaz's relentless aggression and vicious striking can unsettle GSP and at the very least give us a really intriguing 5 rounds. Cheers Dana :happy:happy:happy
Georges has the longer sequence of title defenses and will equal Hughes' total number should he defeat Diaz.
yes that is correct but as of now matt is in the lead i think he use to have the most title defences in the history of the UFC before Anderson Silva came into the picture and took his spot who also has the most wins in the UFC if im not completely off.
It wont be an upset to me, if GSP tries to stand with Diaz he will get his ass beat, I expect a `takedown & try stay active to avoid being stood up` strategy from GSP, I hope Diaz catches him with a sub on the ground, thats not impossible, his bottom game in BJJ is excellent.
That's bull****..... Kim Donh Hyun was promised the next shot at GSP... if he could speak English he would be well in there, old Machidaits striking again.
Maybe he should learn English then... Look at Anderson Silva's lack of popularity- if he spoke English more then perhaps he would reach a larger demographic and get more fans... not that he gives a **** though.
I love me some Stun Gun but he needs to work on his cardio and striking before we even start talking about a match with the reigning champ. He does bring something new to the table and that's world class Judo (in an MMA context). Give him a few touch match-ups to gauge where he is right now. I do believe he will be given a title shot around mid-late next year if he continues to fight well.
