You will see Froch's real boxing level when he gets outclassed again at elite level

Be fair. Froch beat B Magee who is now WBA SMW int champ. Magee was the most accomplished prime SMW Froch has beaten.
Pascal wasnt a good SMW at all

 

If Bute beats Froch convincingly, it won't be a surprise, nor a huge achievement. Froch is hugely overrated and has always been. Beating Froch convincingly only confirms what we already know about Bute.

Kessler would have been a hell of a test 2-4 years ago too, but now, I think Bute should be favourite to win a fairly wide decision, at least!

The only real fight for Bute out there is Ward. That is the test.

 

FAIL.

If anything, all his fights against stiff comp has shown that he is an elite SMW. Froch doesn't look pretty but he's slick in his own way and very cagey.

 

What elite SMWs has Froch beaten?
He beat Pascal who wasnt a good SMW at all
he beat Taylor who wasnt a top SMW and was 1-2 going in
he beat Dirrell who hadnt done anything at SMW, in fact his best win was Oganov
he beat Abraham coming off a loss who wasnt a top SMW and done nothing at the weight
he beat old G Johnson who wasnt a top SMW and has lost more fights at SMW than won. Johnson was a SMW journeyman before moving up to LHW and his best win is A Green coming off a loss

Froch lost to unwell Kessler coming off a loss and many felt he lost to Dirrell and some felt to Johnson
