I agree a lot more people would say Ali is the best boxing in history compared to Sugur Ray because Ali has had more publicity. Froch could win the super six, then beat Bute and Dawson but if the fights are not publiced no1 except hardcore boxing fans would know about Frochs legacy.

History books mean nothing, i would consider myself a fairly hardcore boxing fan but because im only 22 i couldnt tell you that much about fighters such as Pernell Whitiker or Julio Cesear Chavez who may have excellent records but havent had a film made about them or been in the press a lot etc

Obviously nobody but hardcore boxing fans know the Froch fight is this weekend, they have done no marketing. It's all good and well to blame everyone but the perpetrators of the problem, Froch and his promoter.

froch, in my opinion, would have made more money long term if he could of got some sort of terrestrial deal. he would have been a household name, raking in the sponsorship money and be able to do plenty of paid appearances once he retires.

as i understand it, he was a millionaire away from the ring anyway,

I didn't say that fighters from the past that don't get publicity now don't mean anything to me. I said that Joe Public is less likely to remember fighters that have been on terrestrial television or in the media regardless of what they have achieved in their career, that is a fact.

And as for "the youth of today scared of reading", i read a lot actually and I am obviously more educated than you. In future please use puntuaction in your posts and read them over cause you don't make sense at all.

Mick just isn't with it. The promotion for these fights can only be found by hardcore fans.
