If Groves isnt available within at least 6 weeks of the proposed target final date then he cant compete according to Kalle. As the timelines are strict.

Whether they pick someone from outside the tournament or CEJ, the tournament is ruined if Groves cannot take his place in the final and thats the cold hard truth of the matter.

This would be an absolute disgrace... imagine how Groves would feel then.

Where exactly have I don't that in this thread? It's a topic of news for discussion, a simple fact that came from Kalle's mouth.

I've said clearly that a final without Groves would have no legitimacy. I know Eubank lost, I watched it back and scored it 9-3 Groves and a clear KD missed by the ref.

Seems you are on Eubank's dick more than I am, imagining things that are not there.

Yeah there's no jock strap sniffing and just pure news with this thread....

Do you really think your fanboying isn't transparent? FYI it would be a disgrace if Eubank fought in the final and the tournament would be completely invalidated as many others have stated in the thread.

At least you're owing up to it on paper. Give it a rest with the Eubank dick riding though. Usually you're a pretty solid poster for my money anyways.

All this ''what if'' talk but no one knows what the injury actually is. When it happened it was said to be a dislocated shoulder. Treatment for a dislocated shoulder is to pop it back in, ice pack for 48 hrs then physio. 6 weeks good to go. I can guarantee this was not a dislocated shoulder. You cannot disguise a dislocated shoulder. You can always see the point of the bone sticking up above the shoulder with the arm at a funny angle. Grove's shoulders looked to be in line after the fight. That leaves possibly a rotor cuff injury which could require surgery or maybe a detached muscle which also may require surgery both of which could derail him for an extended period or it might simply be a strained muscle. Speculation should cease at least until the doctor takes a look at him.

Smith will be far too big for eubank anyway. If he does beat braemer that is.

If groves is injured I,d probably give eubank the call. Who else in the tournaments been better value with the exception of groves. You bring someone else in now...its basically the end of the tournament. Eubank v smiths not a bad fight either. Although smith will be too big for him. I m starting to get the feeling eubank seniors secretly enjoying the son losing. He seemed a bit upbeat about it last night. Slightly came across like he was enjoying chastising junior a little bit. A sort of your not on my level afterall.

Maybe explain him wanting the golovkin fight far too early for junior to have any sort of realistic chance and letting him enter the tournament in the first place fighting at supermiddle. when it should be clear hes anything but a supermiddle. Also probably fighting billy Joe a little bit too early. Starting to look like car crash advice from a guy that's been in the game long enough to know none of thems been a great idea at the time.

He needs a clear strategy now. I don't think the trainings that bad it allows eubank to bridge the gap between his poor natural reflexes and lack of real amateur experience/schooling. Its the career advice thats been the biggest downfall. Time to get eubank back down to middleweight...working his way in a progressive manner instead of cherry picking guys that's favorable for them. I still say eubank can find a way to have a very decent career...it won't be at supermiddle tho.

If Groves can't make it Kalle should give the trophy to Golovkin and call it a day.
