Young Foreman (1973) vs. current HWs ?

It sounded normal when you actually finished your sentence. How did you get that I implied you didn't know who they were? I implied that everyone knows who they are and you acting like the "new generation" doesn't is laughable and akin to bragging about knowing basic information.

I think he beats everyone in the current HW division. That guy was a powerhouse at HW and one of the toughest matchups for any ATG HW on a H2H basis.

I can understand people thinking Fury could've had some success if he was able to move fluidly around the ring while throwing out his jab, but eventually Foreman would've connected on his face and it would've been a wrap soon after.

 

This is one of the weakest if not the weakest era of boxing, especially the heavyweights. Add the business side of boxing today, where everyone avoids anyone and you can see how George Foreman would KO all but a handful of the current top echelon fighters, if he could get them in the ring. They're avoiding Prtiz like the plague, imagine trying to get Wlad in the ring with prime Foreman. I doubt that fight would go two rounds.

Unfortunately boxing is a dying sport. Its popularity is way down from its peak, MMA is here to stay, and the aficionados are getting frustrated with the business side. Look at the ducking by Canelo, D Garcia, Santa Cruz, Ward, most of the HW division, most of the MW division - Eubank, Jacobs etc, Stevenson and the worst of all Floyd. Also think about the alphabet belts that sanction with total inconsistency.

There should be only one world champion in each division. Everyone needs to fight who they are told to fight or lose their ranking. No excuses like injury. Do they change the date of a football game because the star striker is injured?

Fix boxing and it might survive. Leave it and it'll disappear.

if a ultraHW division was created today with a dozen members weighing 260 lbs, are you thinking prime wlad, Joshua and fury would by default be gatekeepers in that division?

or would you judge them on their ability?
