Did not know this If old george could win, against a younger version, what about a top contender/champion in the 90s..
No contest.....Young Foreman hands down! Old George was way too slow and way too hittable. Young George punched himself out against Ali, who was an elusive, fast, speedy boxer-type, something old George was not even close to being. In facing his older self, youn George would have a stationary target to basically tee off on. He'd either stop Old George or the ref would rescue a battered and bleeding Old George from further punishment....
Maybe an older, late 80's or early 90's. Later version in the 90s could not even clearly beat Schultz
Old George Foreman is a talented big man. Young george might pound his head off in the opening rounds though.
both versions didn't move that well and old foreman had a better defense, more power and more confidence. Young George would feel his power, panic and get KO'd. Young George would get intimidated by old George too.
If you think OLD George who was as slow as molasses beats peak George Foreman, than you really need to find another sport, Young George would not have struggled with Briggs, Morrison, Schults, Saverese etc.
While young George fairs better against more opponents than old George, I think Old George would defeat young George. Old George knows everything that Young George knows, but Young George does not know everything Old George knows. And since young George wasn't exactly a guy who used speed and reflexes, that means that Old George can neutralize him with smarts.
