Lol, my brain auto corrected the typo - I thought you were suggesting that Young Foreman’s fist would become engulfed and stuck in Old Foreman’s all conquering belly.

    Anyway, carry on…..

Old George showed off a great set of whiskers - but would Young Foreman not present as the hardest puncher Old George (and Young George for that matter) ever faced?

IF Young George could establish his jab (the best version could) and then land a good 2-3 bombs on the button, could Old George necessarily stand up to that without going down or at least being rendered highly vulnerable to a fight finishing follow up?

I’m terms speed, Old George might make Young George look like greased lightning (…go greased lightning).

If that was true, he wouldn't have lost to Tommy Morrison, or went life and death with Alex Schulz.

Boxing is about so much more than just speed and power which old foreman may have lost some of. Its said so often that boxing is mostly mental and old george was just so much mentally stronger than young foreman.
Angelo Dundee and Teddy atlas have both said that old george beats young george.

Tyson would have wrecked Holyfield if you just look at it superficially.
Mental strength, the mentality you have in the ring and in preperation is a huge reason why fighters improve or sometimes decline during their careers.

I think he struggled with those guys because of his lack of speed. I don't see Young Foreman struggling with them nearly as much with those guys which is why I rank him higher in an overall h2h sense.
But Y.Foreman probably wouldn't employ the same hit and run tactics as those two against O.Foreman. he'd more than likely try to bomb him out like he usually did rather than use his speed advantage, but he'd be up against a bigger, tougher, smarter, defensively stronger version of himself.

This is a very interesting match up! I am leaning toward old George Foreman by Decision or late stoppage, due to young George Foreman gassing in the second half of the fight. I sure would not be shocked, though, if it went the other way.

I tend to think 2nd career Foreman, particularly from around the Moorer fight, gets a little overrated in fantasy fights, relative to how he actually fared.

I think 1st career Foreman is the substantially better fighter against third parties*.

That said, I can see a scenario where the style match up favours old Foreman to the extent he survives the early onslaught and KO's the exhausted earlier iteration of himself late on.

*the thing with the hypothetical nature of some of the discussions on this forum is, they can mess with your mind. I just referred to someone other than George Foreman as a third party.
