It is ancient history. Opponents didn't avoid Nunn as they do Golovkin.

Nunn would have faced Ward, without any lame excuses.
Nunn would have faced Lara with no fear.
Nunn would have respected his elders and faced old man Hopkins. :yep

I know for a fact that K-2 also turned down a fight with Carlos Molina. They considered it for a week or two while exploring other options and a decent middleweight opponent came up. You might as well call that a duck as well.

Actually Hopkins said he would fight him at MW. Now that's a real old school fighter, and how a fighter is supposed to act. For BHOP at 50 to go down to 160 is some serious gangsta shet! Unfortunately, Little responded that he might fight him 2-3 years from now. Now that's a serious duck.:yep

What would beating a 50-year old man (dehydrated or not) just schooled by Kovalev add to Golovkin's resume ??? Absolutely meaningless fight.

Golovkin doesn't fear Ward to say nothing of Lara or Hopkins. It is just bad timing. Ward refused to fight Golovkin when Gennady was available.

Yet Nunn refused to face Hearns. He should have moved up to face Hearns, but he settled for wash uped welters and a guy that got beat up by an old fat light weight.

The story as I heard it was that Hearns didn't want to fight Nunn. Priced himself out and then took on lesser opponents.

Nunn faced the best MW in the division. GiGi and team would have found a way to duck prime Toney using one or more flimsy excuses. :yep

Nunn has said that Toney avoided a rematch, and that Roy Jones offered him a $125,000 purse in a fight he was going to get $3m.

In all fairness I wouldn't class Golovkin as someone who isn't willing to fight the best. His resume is pretty shlt, granted, but when the other champs and top-ranked contenders in your weight class don't want any of you.....what can you do?

What sucks the most is that this is continually allowed to go on in boxing.

    So corrupt....
