Young Griffo vs George"Elbows" McFadden

    The way to beat Griffo seems to have been to swarm him. McFadden did well by fighting younger Gans more aggressively, but it's not enough to make me think he could pull it off against Griffo.

    I think I'd have to go with Griffo, but with a lot of uncertainty.

    I think personally that McFadden might do the better work, but like Bit says, it's so very hard to tell.

    McFadden fought pretty simply, and he boiled down his offense to those punches he felt would be effective. I think he would score to Griffo's body and might even be the man to find him out there a bit. Nobody really did that Elbows, but he might just be the right man.

    Regardless, with both around their best, I struggle to see it being anything other than a draw under the rules of the day.
