Quick straight flurry by Oliveira. Several high jabs by Oliveira, and Melis counters with a straight right. Melis walks Oliveira back to the ropes and forks over some jabs. Oliveira ducks under a right hand and scurries past him to get away. Melis keeps leaning into Oliveira with his arms folded up in front of him. Good counter by Melis in an inside exchange. Wide hook by Oliveira, caught on the elbow. Melis is using lots of forearm on the inside, shoving Oliveira back. The ref isn't saying anything about it. Melis is physically asserting himself, backing Oliveira up. Big flurry by Oliveira, nothing landing. Clinch. More flurrying to the guard by Oliveira. Melis circles out to his right and then charges in with a grazing right hand counter past a missed Oliveira shot. Melis shoves Oliveira back a few feet and then taps the body from long range. NICE counter right by Melis.

Round 6

Good counter two piece by Melis backing up. Combo pressing forward by Oliveira. Melis is keeping distance and a high guard, waiting to counter. Oliveira steps into a left hook. Jabs land for Oliveira. They lean together and Melis racks up some body shots. High jabs by Oliveira and a smacking overhand right. Oliveira is coming forward jabbing, but walks into an uppercut. They push together. Overhand right by Melis. Hacking combo by Oliveira. Hook into the guard by Oliveira. 1-2 by Oliveira gets deflected by Melis' own punches. Jab to the mouth by Oliveira.

Round 7

Nice combo by Melis pushing forward! Oliveira is a bit rocked! Melis is shoving forward with his forearms and they're mixing it up toe to toe. Melis keeps grasping Oliveira by the shoulders and shoving him back into range and then loading up right hands. Oliveira pops a shoeshine flurry up top while grunting but lands nothing. Oliveira suddenly showboats, spinning his right hand around at his side. NICE counter by Melis. Oliveira jabs and circles to his left. Overhand right by Melis, smacks down on Oliveira's face emphatically with a little assistance from gravity.

Yeah. Oliveira needs a KO to win on my card (and to take the 8th just to hold down a draw) but I wouldn't really argue with anything in that general range you illustrated.

 

Round 8

Melis lands a left hook. Oliveira lands some body shots. They grind together, with Oliveira getting pushed back. Wrestling and shoving by Melis. Hard hammers and uppercuts with the right by Oliveira, targeting the body. Melis puts his forearm into Oliveira's throat and drives him back. BIG OVERHAND RIGHT BY MELIS! Oliveira rocked but fighting back. Oliveira puts out a jab and Melis counters under it with the right uppercut. Melis chases Oliveira to the ropes and falls in with an overhand right. Oliveira's gloves touch the canvas but it's a slip, not a knockdown. They grind together again and Oliveira goes to the body, exposing his head. Melis takes advantage and knocks his head over several inches with an overhand right dropped down from on high. Good closing exchange.
