I thought would be nice to share this....good stuff. A nice interview with Kevin between the highlights of all the fights with him on the grand prix in the night... Some gold stuff from other fights from the tournament as well, like Gary Goodrige vs Mario "Sukata" Neto (fantastic BJJ black belt). Kevin was with 23 years old and fighting with amazing explosiveness in his punches, and wonderful timing and strenght in his takedowns (and he won the GP in UVF 4 beating Dan Bobish in the final at that tournament).... First fight against the tough ******* Ebenezer Fontes Braga. And then he faced Mario "Sukata" Neto at the Semi-Final. In the Final Randleman would face the BJJ black belt (Carlson Gracie school) Carlão Barreto, big guy, skilled. Barreto had won the semi-final against Dan Bobish with a triangle choke, but was a rough battle with more than 7 minutes where Barreto experienced a knockdown..... Well, if Carlão was tired because the fight against Bobish, definitely Randleman was even more since his fight against Ebenezer took 20 minutes and he had a closed eye..... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIKSMsJXY9Q[/ame] Awesome to see this.....because at that time it was a big classic between Wrestling vs BJJ. The Wrestling was dominating the UFC with Coleman and to see Randleman facing all these great BJJ guys IN BRAZIL (5.000 people in the crowd) was certainly special. And Randleman and his team deserves big congratulations for that even with him losing the final to Carlão. btw Carlão Barreto is a commentator for the UFC in a channel in Brazil nowadays (awful though, said things like "Cro Cop wasn´t great, he was an overrated fighter" atsch) ps- nice little interview with Coleman also.... I edited my OP because I found the full fights (two of them).... Lol at Coleman pissed with the crowd in the fight against Ebenezer wild days.
