Cotto impressed the **** out of me last night. It was a close fight but people thinking Shane won aren't being realistic. Close but clear victory for Cotto. Once again, Shane proved to be all class with his post fight comments. Mosley has been my favorite fighter since 1997 and it will be sad to see him go, which I think he will. WW division is still loaded with talent so all is not lost I guess. No shame in losing to a young Lion like Cotto.

I hope Mosley does NOT retire. He still has alot left in the tank and could've beaten a couple of guys in the top10 yesterday.

Shane is a great fighter. If this was a prime Mosley, Cotto dont make it out past 10 rounds. But, an old Mosley is still a great Mosley, and they both created a fantastic fight.

I would love to see Mosley fight Margarito or the Cintron/Williams winner.

Good post. It's tough to root for a fighter and then separate those feelings to call the fight down the middle.

Shane impressed the hell out of me. I think him being a nice guy may have ultimately hurt him in the ring. After every round he'd look to Cotto as if to nod, while Miguel would walk straight to his corner. He may be too sportsmanlike for his own good... but that's one of the reasons he will be remembered as a great fighter for the sport.

Shane fought like a true warrior, it was a reversal of roles for minute there I think both fighters are the true essence of the sport.

Cotto was brilliant, I wanted Mosley to win but I don't think he really came close, anyone thinking Mosley won is kidding themselves. Cotto coasted the last third of the fight knowing he had it won, I think he could've scored the stoppage if he'd pressed for the full twelve

great post... i still believe though mosley has a lot left... his performance last night would have beaten many and most of the welterweight divison... his style hurt him a little in the middle rounds with the hugging and grabbing, making those rounds real hard to score... i admire mosley for his class... cotto just surprise him with his boxing skills at the end... i still want to see mosley fight....

Well stated, Trouble. Mosley fought a very good fight on Saturday, and it was going to take an excellent effort to beat him. Cotto was able to produce that effort, and carve out a close (116-114 on my card) decision in a very, very good fight.

If SSM wants to fight again, I'll watch. If he retires, then it's a hell of an effort to go out on.:good
