If they do, they are some dumbasses.

A lot of these young folk go off of all this modern training bull****, designed to make the best athlete, but with no regard to longevity.

They use you up like a coiled spring, but at some point, that spring is gonna snap.

Static stretching is absolutely necessary as you get older. It makes your body feel so much better and refreshed.

If your tendons are weak then you may have issues, but if you have strong tendons and connective tissue, you need to make sure to stretch and hydrate.

Don't listen to those mother ****ers that tell you not to.

They don't know what they **** they're talking about.

Probably the most important aspect of getting fit, and staying injury free.

Who tells people not to stretch? Dynamic stretches before workout and static stretching after is pretty much how everyone trains?

If you want to get your ass beat as an old man, follow this advice.

Bball has that young frame of mind. Thinks he's unstoppable.

He lives in a mansion and has all that parent's money.

But reality is one day, he won't be young bball.

    He'll be old bball.

And the way his generation is going, people gonna be rapin men.

And he won't have any strength cuz his joints are gonna be all ****ed up.

    So he's gonna get raped.

    It's what HE wanted.

    Don't let this be you.

    BS.

    You don't need weights.

At least not in the traditional sense.

All you need is advanced bodyweight tactics and kettlebells.

You get it all. Especially for the sport of boxing.

The difference between you and I is, I can do what you do, but you can't do what I do.

Any gymnast can do what you do, but you can't get CLOSE to what they do.

All you can do is those fast foward lookin BD humps.

Does Bernard Hopkins lift heavy weights?

    Of course not.

Bernard is invested in longevity, but he has enough power to put down a champ in his last fight with a straight right hand.

There is a reason a 49 year old man can compete on the level of Bernard, and it ain't becuase he can't hit.

If you use tension and bracing with your bodyweight techniques you can work on various levels of strength and hypertrophy.

You can adjust the weight of kettlebells to do work on more strength endurance or power.

You can also mix kettlebells with weight training like weighted pistol squats.

For the most part though, you don't need any weights. You can always change the leverage, use more tension, and switch to one arm or one leg.

Most of the people that diss bodyweight work can't do any of it.

If you want healthy tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue, nothing beats bodyweight training.

I also have a lot of faith in kettlebells for the abilty to transfer power or work on endurance depending on where you are in your training.

You can follow the same sort of hypertrophy, strength, power type of training protocol with bodyweight as you do with tradional weight training.

You just make adjustements as necessary in your training regiment.
