Jones is too big for him.

Much as I'd like to see Mayweather get a beat down from a much bigger man, truth is, I don't really think it's fair to expect him to take on full blown, natural middleweights.

Guys, he means a peak prime RJJ vs a +34 year old Floyd.. You see how he said young Roy Jones vs regular Floyd.. Especially since prime Floyd was a lightweight.. When people put Floyd in a fantasy matchup, it's usually an old or past prime Floyd vs a prime opponent so Floyd can lose.. Duh...

I've just read a Pep vs SRR thread. Now I'm reading a Floyd vs Roy Jones thread.
Whats next Jimmy Wilde vs Marvin Hagler.

Only time RJJ weighted in at light middleweight was for 2 fights in 91 at the age of 22 in his 12th and 14th fight.

As long as Mayweather doesn't get blown out early it's not inconceivable that a prime Mayweather couldn't at least give an inexperienced Jones Jr a few problems. Jones Jr has size and power on his side but Mayweather is smarter, more adaptable and experienced.

Prime for prime Jones Jr of course blows him away.

Young Roy Jones is Floyd's worst nightmare. Handspeed, footwork, power, and proven against toney to kill the shoulder roll.

Floyd at 154 is a minimum age of 30. Roy age 20.

    Fifth weight division for Floyd

    first for RJJ.

Would it really matter? Even young, green Roy would KO Floyd with 16oz sparring gloves on.

    floyd would get killed

    i dont mean that figuratively

    i mean literally

    RJJ was SO SKILLED

remember, he destroyed prime hopkins with a BROKEN HAND!

RJJ has the speed power and combination advantage

    floyd's worst nightmare

i mean pacquiao is a mini RJJ thats why we love him

undefeated toney in his prime who could KO people with one shot

How big is Roy in this scenario? Height, weight, etc. It's hard to imagine Floyd beating a big Roy Jones Jr.

Roy would be the height and weight he was when he actually fought at 154.

    This thread is Stupid

Roy at 154 was a young man at 20 and 21

Floyd as a young man at 20 and 21 was a featherweight .

There would have never been a time when they would have met at 154 in there prime.
