You have to admit, this fight between Pavlik & Lockett isn't drawing the kinda attention/excitement that his fights with Taylor did, thats for sure. I was just wondering what things are like in the Youngstown area/Ohio as far as the commitment of fans. Is the fire still burning there? Do you think Boardwalk Hall will be 1/2 filled with Pavlik fans like back in Sept.? Basically, is the Pavlik enthusiasm still there? Anyone been to the Southside gym to check him out? I've heard training camp has been great & that he's way ahead of schedule. Who's all going to AC from here for Kellys 1st Title defense?:huh (((((((((KP by KO)))))))))
there will be perhaps 200 locket fans make there way to america , but it will be up to kelly`s drawing power to sell the tickets for this one. turn it around and make kelly from the uk and he would sell out stadiums, no problems with his style.
I think the reason this fight isn't drawing much attention on here is because everyone expects Pavlik to KO this guy with ease.
Probably right. And not to look ahead, but can you see Pavlik vs Abraham/Miranda winner by the fall? Can't believe that Pavlik may have to fight Miranda again at 168. I'd rather see him KO AA, just to quiet those Arthur fans out there.
lockett have some fights on youtube,i can tell you that he´s one HELL OF A PUNCHER...i don´t no about his skills,he hold both hands high, moving forward with a good jab....i think kelly will beat him BUT not with ease..
If Miranda wins, Pavlik probably isn't fighting him again, or at least not this fall. It's a guy he already demolished, plus he still wants to stay at 160 for a while. If AA wins, the plan is for him (AA) to fight his mandatory in the fall (Lorenzo-Marquez winner) and then fight Pavlik somtime during the winter. That last one would certainly be my favourite scenario.
#1 opponent that I bet ALL Pavliks fans want to see is Abraham. Then no one can claim a damn thing at Middlewt. Oops, forgot about Sturm, which would be easier than an AA fight.
