You don't have to pick a significant fight or anything just; if you're bored and want to watch a fight you've seen before, which one do you watch?

Mine is Leonard-Duran 1. While I can see the appeal in Gatti-Ward, I find too many strong flush hits to be painful to watch. Watching minds be drained because of battle-weariness is a lot easier on the eyes instead of bodies literally giving out.

Can't say much about the Brawl in Montreal. Two skilled and gifted fighters, both in great condition, giving it everything they've got for the full three minutes of every round. I never cease to be amazed by the display of skill from both combatants in feinting, feetwork, counters, ring generalship, aggression and competitive spirit.

    The final LaMotta-Robinson confrontation.

Never seen boxing done better than the way sugar did it that night, and he had a stern test and a great foil all in one wher Jake was concerned.

Hagler/Hearns; a fight that surpassed its amazing mainstream (even in the UK) hype: I liked both fighters, but it still was a shame Tommy could not find a way to win. Damn it you fool, you should of boxed!;)

Sure; match it to workrate, guts (cos he doese cede rounds for the reasons you specify, and it must have hurt) incredible stamina...he is not even most impressive in these fights for the things he is generally admired for.

I like many fights. There are some that I would like to pick because they are a little less known, such as Basilio-Langlois or Paret-Thompson, but ultimately I have to pick what I enjoy the most; Sanchez-Nelson. It has everything.

Leonard v. Hearns I, because it showed the wonderful versatility of two all time greats in their primes giving it their all and showing all their stuff. There may be more entertaining fights, but few as tactically beautiful and meaningful as that one.

    Robinson - LaMotta VI

    Chacon - Limon IV

    Marciano - Moore

    Sanchez - Gomez, Lopez I

    Chavez - Rosario

    Monzon - Valdez II

For some reason I tend to favor one-sided beatings.

I've seen every great fight in New York since the 1940s -- Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, The Polo Grounds, but as thrilling as some of those legendary wars were (and as old school as I am), Corrales-Castillo 1 tops them. The unrelenting savagery and incredible ending makes it #1.

If that fight had been on radio, emergency rooms woulda been up-to-their-eyes in coronaries.

Do you find it a big stretch, Mc? Or would you've expected me to pick something from the Golden Age?

Chacon W15 Limon IV is my all-time favourite, hands down. I have watched this bout more times than I can count over the years, and I still get goosebumps at times during the bout whenever I watch it.

.............Amen, my brother! Without question, mine as well. The only way I can describe this one is as a celebration of the human spirit........
