Are we ranking people who fought in a legit cruiserweight fight, or people who could have in the past if the cruiserweight division had been available.
Cruiserweights by division, not old school fighters who were in that weight class. Basically, people since the beginning of the weight class.
Quickly, and from memory (which is often faulty these days), here are 5 that spring to my mind: Evander Holyfield, David Haye, S T Gordon, O'Neill Bell, Carlos DeLeon.
1. David Haye 2. Evander Holyfield 3. Juan Carlos Gomez I can't put the others in any kind of order, my knowledge is not too great on the cruiserweight division. Carl Thompson Herbie Hide Enzo Maccarinelli Alexander Alexeev ...Ola Afolabi :yep
enzo's power is vastly overrated. he couldn't put away a shot to **** wayne braithwaite despite battering on him with little resistance for 12 rounds. erza sellers obviously deserves a mention. scored some sweet stoppages in his time.
For a reference to how hard Sellers hit, he sparked a primish Carl Thompson out with one shot. Haye couldn't even knock a 40 year old Thompson down.
exactly. thompson was one tough cat who could soak it up and pull the win from nowhere. just ask seb rothmann.
Anaclet Wamba? Didnt really fight a lot of quality guys but i remember being impressed by him. I think hes a bit like Moorer at LHW, suffers by quality of opposition but head to head is a tough guy to beat
