So many fights for my all time favourite but the one that I watched again and again and again on youtube is Hagler vs Leonard. It's so tactical a fight!
Lewis-Ruddock Margarito - Cotto1 Ayala-Tapia 1 Ibeabuchi - Tua Mainly because I called all 4 winners & was ridiculed for it BEFORE the fights I had the last laughs
A fun fight with a lot of action. But Ayala's feather dusters can't really make for an all time great fight. Neither guy was at risk of being hurt. There was no drama. It was almost the same thing every round.
Ayala-Tapia 1 was Fight of the year Great fight I knew Paulie Ayala from the day he turned pro & throughout his career. Great fighter great guy So were Johnny Tapia , wife Teresa & Freddie Roach his trainer
Hearns vs Hagler Trinidad vs Vargas De jesus vs Duran 1 Holmes vs Norton Bowe vs Holyfield Gonzalez Vs Carbajal Vazquez vs Marquez
Benn v McLennon, with all due respect to GM Gatti v Ward, take your pick Holmes v Witherspoon Thrilla in Manilla Leonard v Hearns 1 McGuigan v Pedroza
Other favourites: Hagler vs Mugabi Benn vs Barkley Rodriguez v Seals Morrison v Ruddock (Ruddock screaming in anguish, funny stuff)
Sanchez-Gomez Sanchez-Nelson Marciano-Walcott I Jefferson-Harris Duran-Barkley Duran-Leonard I Both Chavez-Mayweather fights Toney-Jirov RJ-Griffin I and II Morales-Barrera I and Pacquiao I Marquez-Pacquiao 4 If had to pick one, probably Duran-Leonard I. The skill level, consistency, and ferocity for 15 rounds doesn't get better than that. Old school vs new school boxing. Samething with Hagler-Hearns.
martinez v salido gomez v pintor trinidad v vargas trinidad v vargas cotto v margarito 2 laporte v castillo gomez v zarate
For high level skilled violent chess matches: Ricardo Lopez vs. Rosendo Alvarez II Alberto Davila vs. Lupe Pintor Masao Oba vs. Betulio Gonzalez Mike McCallum vs. Donald Curry, Sumbu Kalambay II James Toney vs. Mike McCallum I, Michael Nunn Pernell Whitaker vs. Buddy McGirt I Donald Curry vs. Marlon Starling II Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Marco Antonio Barrera, Joel Casamayor, Manny Pacquiao IV
The topic of favourite fight is subjective, so you can have it if you insist. But it's missing a lot of what turns me on in a great fight. Especially as an 'all time' favourite.
