Another one I remember is Algieri against Provodnikov. Not sure of the odds (I don't gamble) but Provodnikov was a warm favourite and most felt this would be his passage to a Pacquiao fight, or at least a rematch with Bradley. But I'd seen a bit of Algieri before and felt confident he had the game to outbox him, which he did after that first round scare.

I bet $300 on Moorer to beat Holyfield. I won the bet, but, Moorer looked awful. It was really more of him (and me) being fortunate that Holyfield just wasn't all there that night. Feeling that my winnings were basically pennies from heaven, I told my bookie to let it ride, and bet it all against Michael Moorer no matter who he fought next. It turned out to be Big George, and I won again. I stopped betting for quite some time after that, feeling I had used up more than my share of lady luck for the time being. I went 2 for 2 in fights where the winner looked positively awful.

I picked Holyfield over Tyson. I was 11 and Holyfield was my favorite fighter so I didn’t measure up that he was perceived as finished.

Another few that I won money on was Donaire at 7-1 underdog vs. Darchinyan (fight I). I put about $200 down and then bet my winnings on Joachim Alcine at something like 14-1 to beat Travis Simms.

I had Maidana to smash Broner at 4-1. I thought Broner was crap and had no defense so Maidana would walk over him.

I was beyond certain that MAB would beat Hamed especially after watching Barrera toy with Salud by just boxing him intelligently

So your on here a week and your basically calling me a liar. You and your stupid uninformed posts.
I've been here since 07 and not once has my honesty been insulted. Anybody who follows my posts knows how I feel about a strong left hand. Sorry I'm not or ever was a Tyson fan boy like yourself.
Your an a@@hole in my book from here on out.

Dont tell me to chill out after a call me a liar. Who the F@@@ are you to call me a liar.
I'm not on here to lie bull**** or any other crap except to honestly talk boxing. I'm very opinionated that's a fact but I'm not a damn liar and I resent it even more so if possible coming from someone who just signed on

I didn't call you a liar. Not seriously, man I get being opinionated, I am too. I said my original bull sh*t comment as a light hearted joke due to how much of an underdog Douglas was. If you don't like Jokes like that I'll keep them to myself next time. My second comment was a joke as well, hence why I twisted the exact comment you made and said it differently. I seriously never considered you as a liar and won't in the future. I get being on here to talk boxing, but I'm on here to learn stuff and have a laugh.

As far as firm picks rather than "this guy might blah blah blah:"

    1. Andre Ward to win The Super Six (6:1 underdog)
    2. Ward over Kovalev, both times
    3. Toney over Holyfield with an even money wager
    4. Bradley dec Pacquiao in the first fight with a wager (ok, that was luck)
    5. Canelo over GGG in the rematch. I also picked him in the first one, but it was a draw.
    6. Rigo over Donaire, I think.
    7. Garcia over Matthysse
    8. Winky Wright to shutdown Tito and Mosley
    9. Williams over Margarito
    ...probably Arreola over Seth Mitchell
