Upon hearing the (dissapointing) news that Kellermen would be joining the broadcast this weekend, it got me thinking: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Larry and Jim are the best. But if you want to get creative, Larry and John Madden could make a hilarious duo. I could just see madden drawing on the screen in the middle of the fight while Larry makes some weird analogy.
Agreed. Great eye for whats happening, completely calm and relaxed, and doesn't bring his ego to his role.
Lampley Merchant Jones Its gets no better than that ... Jones was the only expert anaylist who wasn't PC ... he told what he thought and didn't care to express his personal views on the fight. Just like when Floyd fought Sharmba Mitchell ... Lampley asked Roy if he thought that Mayweather should fight some of the true WW including Margarito ... and Roy said "yeah and he would win" ... Lampley was like do you think he's strong enough, Roy said it doesn't matter about strength, he would just outbox those guys.
I think that Merchant should do those shows he had back in the day when he would interview the fighters ... I think that HBO has taken alot away from Lampley and Merchant. I think Merchant from a fans prospective brings it better than anyone ... Even though Max Kellerman is good - sometimes he doesn't come out and say what the fans want to hear. I also like George Foreman because he would tell you that anyone has a chance of winning a fight as long as they "boxed" "George he's down alot of points, shouldn't he go for the knockout?, No If he just boxes he could break him down and win these last few rounds and possibly get a decision ... you never want to show the judges that you're desperate, just box." He would tell the views how it felt to get hit by certain punches ... He also believed in the jab ... he said that all great fighters have a good jab ...
