i dont think they are that bad. duke speaks what he is thinking rawlings does the typical political spiel. in the UK-US contender rawlings was actually the one who noticed that jerson revelo's hand was broken 2 rounds back before teddy atlas says..."there may be a reason....why revelo isnt throwing that right hand"atsch atals is awful but he is great with joe tessatore. joe does the action speaking atlas does the politics and boxing moves. when there is somthign happening in the ring like somthing wrong a robbery a headbutt or somthing controresvial they make the most of it.
Tyson would be amazing as a expert commentator ... he's a true student of the game and a boxing historian. He also knows what goes on inside that ring ... I just wonder if he wouldn't be too hard on the fighters ... not giving any room for error.
I can just see it now. Joe Pesci: Hey Mike, your a pretty funny guy Tyson: What do you mean funny? Pesci: What? Don't you speak English? Jeezzz, hey Mr. Wolf, explain what I means to the ex champ here. Harvey: Joe, it was nice knowing you.
Kellerman, Lampley, Jones Kellerman and Lamps don't have the chemistry Lampley and Merchant had as Lampley seems to hate Max. Max does kind of suck but he's the best out there right now for what he does. Prime merchant was good but aside from a few hilarious old timer moments in the last decade, he's been a WASHED UP DRUNK. Can't stand to see him do interviews now.
Bernstein, Paulie, & Big George (for the humor) Add in Jones if they have the budget. There's also some guy on BoxNation that I really like, but I don't know his name. -------------------------------------------------- Oh, and for extra humor, they should hire Zakman: He could just lay in the corner, all curled up, constantly shouting "he has a glass chin, he has a glass chin, that china's gonna shatter..." - like an epileptic child with Tourettes Syndrome. Every once in a while, when there's a break in the action, the cameras could cut to Zakman. It would be hilarious. Ratings would soar!
Jim Lampley at play by play Al Bernstein at color Paulie Malignaggi at expert --- Thats current. "All time" would look like this Jim Lampley play by play Larry Merchant (15 years ago version) color Manny Steward expert
Jim Lampley is always overrated. So is Paulie Malignaggi. All-Star Broadcast Trio: Gus Johnson Max Kellerman Roy Jones Jr. Best lineup possible today.
