Talk about a fighter getting the most out of himself. Did great for what he had and pretty much never in a boring fight. Warrior!

    The Harding fights are epic.

 Ojay was a joker, fought to feed his kid as a single parent guy gets props from me as much as he was nuisance if he was around now he'd beat a few of our tops lads around his weight.

The beef between Ashley and Piper was hilarious.

Nunn even on the coke proved to be too good. But Crawford had bizzare weight problems before this, also at short notice. Did well though. Memories, Memories.

Crawford was a very good fighter, i was shocked the night Clinton Woods beat him cos Clinton lost to Starie at SMW iirc and jumped up to LHW but Crawford was favorite. IIRC he broke Crawford's nose or jaw that night.

Ashley was a really hard puncher.underrated in that respect as far as the recent decades 175lbers go.

Barrett was one of the biggest wastes of talent of the same period, especially by Brit fighter standards.

And Sibbo fought him too, you gotta admit Tony tried for a World title.

You're right, Mand. Crawford was the favourite, but only on account of the Starie fight. He would've been beaten by someone less then Clinton Woods at that point and he was pretty done and ripe for the picking. He was also having problems outside the ring being a rasta.

Btw, Woods was massively weight drained against Starie, he was never a super middle and had no business there. They were ganna pull out but Woods being the warrior he is wouldn't have any of it.

Starie was a decent fighter as well. Had him edging Ottke.

Crawford wasn't managed right imo. He would rule the roost today and if the the likes of Nathan Clevery are picking up straps then Crawford would be a lock. He'd beat someone like Clevery quite comfortably imo.

Most definitely Slip, I remember Woods losing to Starie, Starie should of won a world title but his career was marred by that fight or hugfest with Calzaghe. Awful fight really was. I'm sure Woods beat Crawford on British leg of a major PPV Britain then over to U.S.

Always been a fan of Clinton, even wanted him to beat my hero or at least hang with Jones . Your right about Ashley being top boy in this era, he'd stop Clev IMO.

What a bloke and true warrior Clinton was. Got the best out of his himself. Not the most talented but REAL honest pro.

I remember he broke or damaged his nose in about the second round against Crawford and he just grinded it out. You're right, Mand. I think it may have been on a Lennox undercard.

Any of the Welsh lads remember Floyd Havard? He had a colourful career. If anyone has his fight with John John Molina please post.

Slightly before my time, but my ole man saw him a lot. Any of the older lads remember Horace Notice?

I have a programme of one of his fights in the late 80s. It's very tidy. It's also got a young Michael Watson and a few other familiar names in there.

Add Neville Brown to the pot. My most abiding memory of Neville is him knocking Shaun Cummings out with a jab in their grudge match. He was a good puncher who could maul like hell.

Interestingly the first time i noticed the "Bow and Arrow" flaw and it was on Neville Brown. A lot of our fighters seem to have that flaw nowadays.
