:deal:good thank god someone said it.

ali could outbox anyone until he meets pressure + power.
foreman could outbrawl anyone but get boxed up easily done
frazier would get ko'd simply. just like that
liston is slow as **** for crying out loud, a man with discipline would jab his head off i mean cleanly off holmes would
holmes is your man in the 70-80s era he could beat anyone but was still a suckker for a right hands.

I have to take issue with this.

What one man can do by chance, another can do be design.

Lewis might well be lucky that he fought in an era, where feinting was a lost art in the heavyweight division!

Lewis was a great fighter no doubt, but if you had a contender with power and noting much else, and you had to match him against a top 10 all time heavyweight, then Lewis would be the one to choose!

Here is the problem with what you are saying.

You have built your idea of what a great heavyweight should look like, around a handful of fighters, some of who had serious limitations.

If you scaled somebody like Wlad Klitschko down to the size of a welterweight, he would be nobody, while Joe Louis would still be great.

Waldo is a phenomenal athlete. Scale him down and he would still do very well, though he would fight in a completely different style. He would still have a quick thudding jab, great footwork and power for days. Louis fought as his physical abilities and limitations allowed. Same with Wlad. Just as in military tactics, don't give up the high ground.

the whole arguement from janitor is ****ed.
heavyweights fight diffrently from welterweights. the talent pool and ability is a whole different game.

and big waldo would jab the head off louis, liston, dempsey, marciano.

I think that its amusing how you dismised the all time greats just because of their era.

Bet you think that Wilt Chamberlain would be a nobody today also, huh?

Lewis never knocked out Bowe. the incompetent ref stepped in and awarded LL with a bogus tko. he was just waiing for the first solid punch from LL to land. BOGUS!

now the knockouts LL suffered in the pros, THOSE were real!!

the fight with VC, he merely won on cuts which isnt really decisive anyways. it's not like he laid him out

I think LL fights like sh*t and his reign was a most forgettable one. he certainly wont be remembered as another Ali or even in the same light as Frazier

Lennox was great & size would sometimes make the difference.

Yet there is a juvenile & hyperactive tone to some of the posters in this thread.

Saying Wlad would be slaughtered if he fought someone as bad a Louis?!
How can you expect to be taken seriously making an extreme statement like that?

lowering the actual weights of those you find too small damages credibility.
Don't exxagerate & make up stuff gentleman.

And slamming folks like Ali for fights he won, while never mentioning fights YOUR man lost when also before prime...not intellectually honest.

Trolling, or hust being out of touch with reality & rationaliy, is saying Lewis would be smashed for fighting some as BAD as Louis! That is a joke.

I see much virtues with all fighters, inc. the big big guys.
