    New Zealand:

Heavyweight: David Tua or Tom Heeney (fought Dempsey and Tunney), minor mentions to Kali Meehan and Herbert "Maori" Slade who fought John L Sullivan

Light Heavyweight: Bob Fitzsimmons (yes the great man was raised in NZ since age 9, first learned to box here and worked here as a blacksmith)

Featherweight: "Torpedo" Billy Murphy who was a world champion around 1890

Thats pretty much it but Im not much of a local historian

Get stuffed! He was raised in NZ since the age of 9! He even developed his famed blacksmith physique there and had his first few professional fights there.
His father was an Irishman from county Armagh in any case.
His formative influences were from NZ and once he became an established professional he fought out of USA not Britain.

He is at least as much a NZer as English , fact !

You might find that the bareknuckle era would strengthen your list somewhat.

He made his name as an Aussie!

Australia (We really are a multicultural lot)

    Heavyweight: Peter Jackson
    Cruiserweight: Joe Goddard
    Light Heavy: Jeff Harding
    Super Middleweight: Bob Fitzsimmons
    Middle: Les Darcy
    Light middleweight: Troy Waters
    Welterweight: Kostya Tzsyu
    Light Welterweight: Hector Thompson
    Lightweight: Vic Patrick
    Super Featherweight: Paul Ferreri
    Featherweight: Johnny Famechon
    Super Bantamweight: Jeff Fenech
    Bantamweight: Lionel Rose
    Super Flyweight: Peter Mitrevski
    Flyweight: Vic Darchinian
    Light Flyweight: Steve Bell
    Minimum Weight: Young Ghandi

I think it is a pretty decent Team.

The yanks will be full of themselves in this tournament, but i would expect Vic, Lionel, Fenech, Fammo, Kostya, Fitzy, Darc, Vic, and young Ghandi to get the job done and send us through to the next round.
