AJ number one Old school view there is only one champion, the rest are contenders who fight amongst themselves.
1.Anthony Joshua 2.Tyson Fury 3.Joseph Parker 4.Deontay Wilder 5.Alexander Povetkin 6.Luis Ortiz 7.David Haye 8.Jarrel Miller 9.Kubrat Pulev 10.Dillian Whyte 11.Lucas Browne 12.Carlos Takam 13.Dominic Breazeale 14.Andy Ruiz Jr 15.Bryant Jennings 16.Hughie Fury 17.Manuel Charr 18.Adam Kownacki 19.Zhilei Zhang 20. Christian Hammer
Fair point. To me, the fact Wilder won and is an increasingly legit looking champ puts a gap there, even though H2H they are very close. But its very debatable.
1) Joshua 2) Wilder 3) Fury 4) Miller 5) Ortiz 6) Povetkin 7) Parker 8*) Browne 9) Whyte 10) Jennings No one else really matters at this point. Parker only gets in there because of his belt but look what he's done in his past 3 fights. Two MDs against very marginal opposition. The only time that looked even slightly impressive was against a guy on short notice that couldn't even win Boxcino. Anyone that has Haye in their top 10 is out of their minds. He just got knocked out by a light heavyweight. You could say that he was injured or whatever but he has an excuse every single time he loses a damn round. Remember his "broken toe" against Kiltschko that limited his motion around the ring. His most impressive win since 2011 was vs a Chisora that looked gassed from the opening bell. Chisora gets way too much credit from that Helenius fight that he got robbed in. Helenius looked like a world beater until that moment but all that night proved was that neither one of those guys deserved to be relevant. I feel guilty including Lucas Browne because he's so jacked up on PEDs that he should apply to the WWE. Andy Ruiz Jr??? You gotta be kidding me. That guy is such a ***** it's ridiculous. He was spoon fed the 1st 29 fights of his career refusing to take on anyone relevant and then put on a decent performance against Parker (who I spoke about earlier) and people want to consider him a top 10 heavyweight. Did you guys think of Malik Scott as an elite heavyweight when he was 35-0?? Record doesn't mean anything when you are turning down offers versus legitimate fighters in order to inflate it. Happy to get that all off my chest. Now for the positive side of things. AJ is a beast nothing more needs to be said about him. Until someone takes him the distance he has to be at the top of any list. Although Wilder proved that he was mortal last weekend, he also showed a lot of heart and balls. I think that even a casual fan would agree that there are clear flaws with his boxing but the power that he packs in that right hand is unmatched by anyone on this planet to be honest. Fury's performance against Klitschko puts him high on my list but he needs to cut all of the **** outside of the ring before he can be considered ahead of the two that I listed above him. WHY IS THERE NO LOVE FOR BIG BABY??? Yes, his physique leaves something to be desired but the man is relentless. Power in both hands, he clearly has a chin, and he works the body better than any other heavyweight out there right now. I think that him versus any top 10 fighter in this division would be exciting to watch. Have you ever seen the man in a press conference? He wore a poncho and sombrero the other day. He runs his mouth better than anyone in the sport right now. If you haven't seen him speak please look up a video because he's equally as eloquent as he is hilarious. Hopefully he takes care of Duhaupas so that he can ascend into the division's elite and take on a bigger name as a main event on premium cable.
Ah, this is pretty tough lads. 1) AJ 2) Pov 3) Wilder 4) Parker 5) Ortiz 6) Miller 7) Pulev 8) Jennings 9) Takam 10) Whyte\Browne winner This division sucks
C) Vacant 1) Joshua 2) Wilder 3) Povetkin 4) Ortiz 5) Parker 6) Pulev 7) Miller 8) Breazeale 9) Whyte 10) Browne That's going mostly on resume for the sake of consistency. H2H you could make a pretty good case for guys like Takam, Ruiz, Jennings, Kownacki and maybe even Haye 5.0 making the bottom half of the list, I'd probably back all of those guys to beat Whyte, Breazeale and Browne. But I'd have to get pretty subjective in my arguments to do so. Fury is still inactive so is still left out for now, Joshua and Wilder at #1 and 2 should be pretty locked in for anybody that isn't a sycophantic cheerleader for one of them, the rest of the top five is pretty straightforward (although the order is anything but), I gave Sasha #3 for his credit in the bank as he has by far the deepest resume of anybody in the top 10, and Ortiz #4 based on his Jennings demolition trumping any single win on the Kiwi's CV. Any fight featuring those three would be pretty tough to call. Weighing up the pros and cons of resume and H2H for #6-10 is where it gets really tricky, which is why I went purely on resume to simplify things.
I met him in the mayweather gym a few days after Canelo ggg he's a gentleman a really funny man he asked my dad to finance and manage him if he paid the fee to get him out his contract by the time I told my dad how good he was he went with Eddie Hearn to fight wach
Joshua Povetkin Wilder Parker Ortiz ...and then same as ever, everybody else pretty much sucks with little to separate ranking them.
1 Joshua 2 Povetkin 3 Wilder 4 Parker 5 Pulev 6 Ortiz Is the clear top 6. Then 7-10 any of the following could be in those spaces.. Browne, Bellew, Kownacki, Haye, H Fury , Miller, Ruiz Jr, Whyte. I don't think Breazeale, Takam,Jennings, Charr deserve to be top 10
