Ian Darke and Woodhall on commentary Jim Lampley Presenting, Andy Kerr Interviewer Buncey, Spencer Fearon and Manny Steward as pundits.
Al Bernstein KO1 Jim Lampley:deal. My set up: Rawling & Woodhall doing the commentary; Kerr & Bunce in the studio:good.
The Primetime thing will have a massive interactive segment - let's set a record and get 1,000 emails - I will get details. Adios.
Is this Primetime a one off a mate of mine says all the boxing is going to be on there.. Although he talks ****
As much as i love bunce, i dont rate his boxing brain, he is useless at predicting winners. i rate wee barry higher. Woodhall is class as his analysis is spot on like townsend on footie. Id go for gutteridge and merchant with barry doing the analysis with woodhall and jim rosenthal interviewing.
Studio panel Host: Andy Kerr Pundits: Steve Bunce, Barry McGuigan and Chris Eubank Roving reporter: Gabriel Clarke (he must be kept, the man is TV gold) :yep Fight venue team Commentators: Ian Darke, Richie Woodhall/Roy Jones Jr (alternate between the 2) and Larry Merchant
Studio: Steve Bunce, Barry McGuigan , Chris Eubank Fight: George Foreman , Larry Merchant , Jim Lampley... All about balance, and emotion. George Foreman was immense... I like him during the Riddick Bowe vs Andrew Golota II..
I agree, as when Audley talks boxing and not about himself he makes a lot of sense. I once saw Audley talk about the Amateurs and it was interesting stuff, the guy knows his stuff. I would like to see Barry and Buncey together in the studio as i remember them doing a good job for the Jones-Joe fight.
I have to say i wasn't a big fan of Rowling but he's grown on me, him and Woodhall together are immense, head and shoulders above the rest in the UK Bernstein is very good, I would have him as a presenter, can't stand these presenters who no jack **** about boxing, nothing worse then a presenter who's not a fan of the sport you can see it from a mile and its annoying, that dave clark comes to mind here. in the studio i would have Mike Tyson (for his knowledge) and Naz (for the comedy value, bit like Ian Wright in the football but Naz i think would have a balance between providing that comic relief and substance) and throw Merchant or Bert Sugar in there, can you imagine Larry and Mike going at it? lol!
Ok, I will keep this to UK only. Rawling and Woodhall on commentary. Studio: Bunce, McGuigan, Kerr. *Special guests to be rotated, eg. Bernard Dunne (is excellent when he is on RTE), Jon Thaxton (impressive when I have heard him on ITV4)...
I would have.... Woodhall and McGuigan in the studio with Kerr presenting Gabriel Clarke doing roaming interviews Naz and Eubank doing ringside
Naz and Eubank at ringside or in the studio, would be a scream, that needs to be tried, I bet it would be brilliant.:thumbsup
