Of fighters that fought one weight class below or above? For example I'd love a 140 lb division of Arguello, Tzyu, Mayweather, Delahoya, Mosley, Armstrong, Williams, Duran, Chavez, Whitaker, Pryor all going to war over the course of a decade and seeing who was who when the dust settled. Would produce some fireworks as well as some classic boxing chess matches IMO :smoke
Welterweight. Robinson Leonard Gavilan Napoles Hearns Armstrong Rodriguez Griffith Basilio Ross Whitaker Duran Trinidad McLarnin Walker Walcott Britton Lewis
It really is, but I don't think my fave fighters suit the division as well as yours so I'm biased against having it as my dream place
Aside from middleweight, I nominate late 60's/early 70's junior welterweight. Loi, Locche, Perkins, Ortiz, Hernandez, Fuji..yes, Fuji..he was crude..a caveman and he pulverized Loppopolo (Lopopopololol?) Cervantes and Benitez.
Fuji was an absolute beast. Fuji-Hatton would be amazing. OK! Here's my dream pre WW1 lightweight division. Not what the thread asked for but, you know... CH: Gans 01: Jack McAuliffe 02: Young Griffo 03: Frank Erne 04: Freddie Welsh 05: Owen Moran 06: Elbows McFadden 07: Jimmy Carroll 08: Billy Myer 09: Battling Nelson 10: Ad Wolgast Beast.
LHW, so many amazing fighters from the 50's till today, not to discredit anyone pre 50's but since the 50s its always had a good good fighter so why not stick them in a pot and see who comes out on top?
154. Hearns Robinson Leonard Trinidad Hagler (face it; he could make 154 under current rules) Jackson Ketchel (he would make 154 under current rules) Graziano McCallum Basilio Mugabi Norris Walker Monsters.
