    Because of those scorecards Hagler feared being robbed by the judges, and apparently he had reason for concern. I think Duran was very game throughout, but pointswise it was far from close.

    I watched this fight on closed circuit TV at the time in NYC, and I thought Marv won by maybe 2-3 points. But the crowd was so pro Duran (as were the judges apparently) so I wondered what did I miss.

    Watching the fight 20 years later I had it 10-5 or 11-4 MH. It certainly wasn't as close as the judges had it.

    Duran must've had this special sway with the judges around this time, because his fights with Benitez and Hagler were ridiculously close on the official scorecards.

    I had it 10-4-1 Hagler.

    One of the most overrated "close" fights ever.
