Never really met any boxers. Met Buncey and sat alongside Travis and Jon-Lewis Dickinson :)yep), but never really had a conversation with any boxers.

Does it get nay more glamourous?

Would you want him in the photo though?

    You must be lonely.

I met Darren Sutherland, Brian lawrence and Tony Salam once in a gym. All nice guys shook my hand gave me a photo, chatted away a bit. I'm gutted I missed Sutherland sparring he literally had just got out the ring as I came through the door. But saw him on the bags and he finished his rounds before coming over and yapping.

My mate bumped into Ricky Hatton, Matt Hatton and a couple of other guys (not sure who) in some bar so he asked Ricky for a photo. They all got in it except Matthew who just walked out of the shot and sighed.

Got my pic taken with Enzo Mac at the Khan Prescott fight and he was really sound. Proper strong handshake but a total gent. Had a lot of time for many fans at the fight

Met Bruno doing a TV show once. He had the softest handshake I've ever known and didn't want to talk boxing much - which is fair enough, I don't want to talk about my day job when I'm off duty.

Nelson, Clinton Woods, Bomber Graham and, believe it or not, Junior Witter are all top blokes, especially Graham.

Ken Buchanan comes in the gym I box for from time to time, he's chatty and watches the sparring ect.

Ricky Burns is about as nice a guy as you will ever meet, met him on quite a few occasions. Deserves all the success he gets.

Alex Arthur is a cheery, very chatty guy.

Got an autograph from Bunce when I was about 14, he was on his mobile to someone and me and my mate past him outside braehead arena after a harrison card, no one else was around. He happily signed it but couldn't say much because he was obviously in mid conversation.

The same night I went up to Warren and asked for an autograph. He didn't say anything and just gave a smile and said "alright" once he'd done it. Don't really say anything wrong with that though.

I waited about after for at ringside after the arena was basically empty for Khan to sign my autograph, he just stormed past with security at his side though. It seemed totally unecessary.

pretty sure that's all the big names.

I've been lucky enough to meet loads of old fighters, too many to mention in fact. Here's a few of the older ones.
Peter Kane, Larry Gains, Peter Keenan, Walter McGowan, Johnny Clark, John Caldwell, Paddy Maguire, Ken Buchanan, Howard Winstone, Terry Downes, Dave Charnley, John Conteh, John H Stracey, Dave Boy Green, Alan Minter, Henry Cooper, Johnny Pritchett.
Haven't got a bad word to say about any of them.
    I'm showing my age there.

I met Evander Holyfield at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He was just leaving the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre after watching the afternoon session of the boxing and he patiently stopped to take photos and chat to fans. Unfortunately, I didnt have a camera with me but it was cool to meet him.
