    lovely photo, even if you not a fan of boxing you have to appreciate some of these pictures. you can feel the atmosphere and drama in them. the old ones are my favourite

    Its a wonder the kid could climb in the ring looking like that never mind fight like he did....his end was a real tragedy

    Yes, a real tragedy. I'll never forget that following morning waking up and hearing the news that he was in a bad way.

    Me too.... I was only a kid when Johnny Owen died... it really struck home to me the dangers that go with our sport....

    Young Ali and Angelo Jacapucci were other events that occurred that really made me think in and around that era of the early eighties...

    I think there was a documentary on sometime ago where Pinter met Johnny Owens Father I think... Any help with finding this documentary would be helpful fellow forumites...:good
