All good points thanks young griffo

I wonder how a fight between Botha and Savarese would have gone down?

Man I would have been torn on that one Savarese is my number 1 fav but Botha always got my support I threw every punch with that guy

Botha on steroids beat Schultz and drew with Briggs. Lou wasn't quite on that level.

    Savarese was a wasted talent

Botha would be a hard night for anybody probably the guy was one tough son of a gun

He wasn't called the white buffalo for nothing the guy was a bull

Botha put together a great effort against Moorer. I believe he broke Mike's jaw and some ribs.

At the time of watching it, I felt Lou was robbed against Old George. I will not go an rewatch to assess that opinion.

i thought Savarese did enough to beat foreman even though i am a bit biased for Savarese

man all this tlak has got me in the mood to put on a couple of Savarese fights this weekend coming relive some of the glory days loved the 90s heavyweight scene although Savarese had his chances in hte 2000s too

George only had the jab working against Lou but he landed enough to win a close tussle I thought. It wasn’t a bad fight at all. Very competitive.

My favorite Lou Savarese fight is either Buster Douglas or Tom Glesby. Those were his big moments. He was in other competitive fights, though. But I was happy for Lou those nights.

For Botha, I liked Frans against Moorer, even though he lost. That was an entertaining fight. There weren't many nights where Frans didn't have to grind it out. But Frans was the "boss" on the nights he fought James Stanton and David Bostice. Those were two nights when he got to show his stuff and win.

Great post man your post brought back some memories I'm definitely going to get some of these up on youtube this weekend

Do you mind me asking who do you think would win out of Danny Williams the tough Brit and Frans Botha both in their respective primes. I always liked Williams sad to see him still going I heard he rejected Botha about 6 or 7 years ago

I think it would have been a fun fight in their primes or if it happened in about 2001 or something

Botha-Williams would've been a good fight in the early 2000s. I always liked watching both. Williams - when he was fighting Meehan, Sprott a bunch of times, Harrison and Tyson - was a really fun fighter to watch. Same with Botha against guys like Bostice, Briggs, Etienne, etc.

Close fight. Really a pick-em matchup. I don't see either being a clear favorite. Would've been cool to see them fight a couple times.
