Your favorite boxing movies

    For me it's strictly Rocky I. I didn't see it until the mid 80's & I'd already seen Rocky III. It blew me away. I got up the next day & went for a run. (A short run. Maybe a block. I was pretty out of shape.) I love that movie. Love the soundtrack. My favorite boxing movie without question! I actually like all the Rocky movies though.

    I'm a big old movie buff & one movie I really like is 1949's THE SET-UP. Great old film noir.

    :goodCouldnt agree more.I could never understand why a poor ham actor with no natural boxing ability is more well known for boxing than some legendary ex world champions.

    You think that De Niro could have played Rocky Balboa better than Stallone could have?

    He might be a better actor with far more versatility but Stallone was made for the part. This isn't about who was the better actor.
