Most DEFINITELY the absurd notion that Oscar's jab magically vanished and if he had continued using it, he would have won. Biggest joke I've ever heard. Floyd took that jab and put it in his back pocket.

My second favourite is the idea that Floyd ducked boxing's favourite punching bag, Manos De Plaster. You could extend that one to anyone, really. Anyone Floyd hasn't fought, he's ducking. Anyone he already has fought, he simply waited until they got old/took too many beatings/were past their prime/not at their best weight. Yawn.

Name me a single time in Rockgloves' entire career where he went on a significant winning streak. I mean, he tried 154lbs and got sent back down by none other than Daniel Santos. He tried to beat the upcoming guy in a green Paul Williams and got beaten at his own game... being outfought. Then, capitalizing on his win over Cotto (which has a great shadow cast over it) he takes on Shane Mosley and gets beaten pillar to post before crumbling. Where in that run did he establish himself enough to make himself a must-fight opponent for the top dog in the sport?

 

That Mosley gassed after round 2.

Numerous people are stating it as fact. But, when Shane was asked this very question, in an interview, he said he was not gassed at that point in the fight. He had several opportunities to use this as an excuse for his performance, and he didn't. This same Shane just recently chased and wrestled with a natural MW for 12 rounds. I'm not saying Shane is prime or peak, but, I don't buy the "he was gassed after rd 2" excuse. It's not like he had to chase Floyd...he was standing pretty much toe-to-toe with him, almost the entire fight. He was outboxed, as many knew he would be, considering his history with purer boxers.
