Probably Mosley 1. I know he lost but it was a fight where you had two superstars fighting in their peak and it was a great fight. Dela Hoya only lost marginally imo. He still fought quite well, its just there had to be a winner and a loser.

    1 Mosley
    2 Vargas
    3 Mayorga

Against Quartey. I was rooting for Ike, but Oscar gutted it out. Great fight.

    Prob Mayorga for me.

After all the times Mayorga smacked him at press conferences and then De La Hoya knocks him down in the first round - that was brillient.

In terms of excitement the vargas fight. But i was never a fan of this phony, fake punk. So my other favorite fights were mosley i&ii, trinidad, hopkins, mayweather and pacquaio.

Love the Vargas fight. Good action, back and forth changes of momentum, and an awesome ending.

Mosley 1 would be second behind the Vargas bout.

The Quartey fight has gotten to be one of the most overrated bouts ever. Yes, the 6th round was terrific, and the 12th was exciting and dramatic. The other ten rounds were slow as hell.

It wasn't a great chessmatch where one guy sets a trap, forces the other to make a mistake, and makes him pay for it. It was largely two guys standing and posing at each other.

Quartey fight hands down. Vargas was good because of the build up to the fight and was a good fight. But the Quartey fight was greatness.

    1) Quartey
    2) Vargas
    3) Mosley I

Despite his many losses against elite opposition, De La Hoya sure delivered some exciting fights.
