Which is what I said. :nut Except that just because a fighter wins the last 30 seconds, doesnt mean he wins the round. Most competant judges are taught to score the whole round. Again you are basically arguing for the judges in nottingham's incompetancy.

Bernard Hopkins was good at stealing rounds. What Froch was doing was not what I'd label stealing rounds.

    Uh-huh ok

there is clearly zero irony in you starting thread called biggest emotional breakdown only to degenerate into yet another anti-Froch rant.

MW you are rapidly becoming my favourite poster , you're indignation knows no bounds , i salute you !

I personally and sincerely think that a poster with the handler of "divac" (and other posters having the same symptom) has lost his grasp on subtlety or reason. He let his "hate" against Pac (for beating JMM and the rest of the mexican elites, plus continuing on monopolizing higher divisions) corrupt his old self of being sensible and logical.

I didnt bring up Froch vs Dirrell. Someone else did. My reputation on the subject proceeds me thats all.

However there is no emotion or breakdown, just cold hard calculating facts. :yep

In all seriousness when you first popped up here you were an angry young man but like most of us on here your initial rage seems to have been tempered by a bit of humour . Keep it up !

That said ****in woe betide us all if it ends up a Froch v Dirrell final :D

those are american commentators and even they're saying that the fight is close and that dirrell must take the title away from the champion and go for it. they obviously didn't agree with you by the tenth round.

round 11, dirrell won by watching that.

Only Al Bernstein had the fight close, I believe he had it a draw. Gus Johnson and Tarver were both convinced Dirrell won. And listening to bits and pieces of the English commentary I've heard they were riding Dirrell aswell.

And what did I say about the 10th round other then Froch was hurt and that it was 9-9 due to the point deduction?

    Thats the suprising thing

Had Dirrell fought that way in front of all US judges I think he would have actually got even less.

the accepted wisdom is that US judges want aggresion and coming forward and europeans like smart boxing,

The brit commentaty I heard , deffo had Dirrell doing well , I wouldn't be suprised if the US commentary was the other way.

Anyway, I'm done with this fight , Froch escaped with a tight ( arguably lucky ) decision, it hasn't had a negative effect of Andre's career so no blood , no foul.

Lol, for that to be true, you'd have to ignore that 90% current US champions or top rated contenders are slick boxers. Bradley, Alexander, Ward, Berto, Mayweather, Dawson ect.

Obviously its a style that works for the most part over here.

With Texas being the exception. I.e Diaz vs Malignaggi, Whitaker vs Chavez.

Yeah , I wasnt saying it was litteraly true , its what the commentators say everytime and it seems its how they call it. I was only talking about the commentary.

there are lots of boxing falsehoods that the commentators continue to espouse.

i.e " you've got to take it from the champ " that's not true either but the TV guys love saying it.

People need to stop being biased. I'm from the UK and I like Carl Froch - he shows great heart to achieve what he has achieved with his limited skill level but even though Dirrell pissed me off with his negativity in this fight, I thought he won clearly.

The judges are people, the history books are written by people. Just people with their own opinions like you or I. I choose to believe that my opinion is just as valid as theirs.
