the first round between the two of them was not ALL PENN. Take back the eye poke and the clipping of the nose, GSP face is 95 % okay. IF Sean Sherk can stand nearly 3 round vs Penn, GSP can and he wont get outjabbed and when they are gonna fight, in 2009, thats gonna be 3 years since their fight..GSP has improved in all arena, that's gonna be, a SECOND victory for him:yep and if you think Penn can fight 5 high space round with GSP , you are mistaken GSP wont do a stupid game plan like Sherk without engaging Penn in the clinch or on the fence, and GSP will still be able to take him down whenever he want.
Penn doesnt have to outjab GSP, Bjs an elusive striker..a technical brawler..this point is moot because no way GSP will stand with him, now way! Sure Penn will last at most 3 rounds at a decent pace. But even if he is dead tired you wont be able to do anything in his guard..No one has ever except that fight with Hughes which he was clearly injured. I am as objective as I can analyzing this fight..Its either GSP by decision or Penn by Ko/Sub Id say GSP ny decision.
I don't understand..why are you saying no way GSP will stand with him and GSP was able to do so in their first round ??? and GSP will do damage to Penn in the 4th and the 5th round, either standing or on the ground. GSP has this cardio.. but Penn do have a real chance to KO St. Pierre or sub him 'cause he is that talented and I don't see St. Pierre KO Penn clean and sub him. But I can see GSP stop Penn in the last round due to the fact that Penn is gonna be dead tired if this fight go there.
GSP wouldnt even stand with Serra and Koscheck and BJ is miles miles ahead of Serra and Koschek... If you watch the Sherk/GSP fight, Sherk (who has very good boxing) was giving GSP a tough time, thats why he took him down. Penn basically toyed with Sherk, he shut all his options. If there is a striking advantage that GSP will have, its leg kicks, Penn seem to not care about getting kicked in the legs nor defend it for that matter.
Forrest Griffin I really appreciate fighters who just bust their ass and don't feel like they have to act or talk like a punk ass ***** to pimp themselves. They just show up, fight and go home - all the while showing respect for themselves, their opponent and the sport they represent. To me, Forrest Griffin epitomizes that the best.
good post But Forrest Griffin must be one of the most hated fighter on forums, that's incredible how much hate he gets, just because are saying that Tito wasnt 100 percent, that Shogun wasnt himself and that Rampage wasnt himself too.. he wont get any praise, who ever he beat, people are gonna say excuse..I don't know why, he is such a gentleman
Tito is overrated. Forrest fought Shogun with a bad shoulder; I'd make no excuses for him if he'd lost - so Shogun fan excuses mean nothing to me. If he couldn't win, he shouldn't have shown up. Nobody knows what mental capacity Rampage was in for the fight. Any way they'd have it go, Griffin still had to win those fights (he beat Tito, IMO) and he did.
exactly what i said.....good man.....i cant understand why he gets so little respect..the guy is a fighter first and foremost..
Mike Tyson got respect cause he wanted to eat babies. Muhammad Ali got respect for taunting Joe Frazier with a gorilla doll. Some people like their fighters to act like arrogant, angry pricks.
liddell, randy c.,griffin, matt h.,g.s.p.--griffin is just hilarious to listen to and hes not an arrogent ass like many fighters
