You can only pick one fighter. My favorite fighter was the marvelous one and his best performance to me was Hamsho 1

Watching Liston knockout Patterson in 1 for the title he had been owed for so long was truly a sight to see. Not sure if it can be called his best performance due to how brief it was but it certainly was amazing.

Hamsho was no bum, neither. Hagler was just too much of a buzzsaw himself for Mustafa to get through.

I typically switch off between who's in my number one spot, but I think that at the moment, that would have to go to Michael Nunn.
His one round crush of the middleweight master Sumbu Kalambay was insanely impressive in my eyes, much better than the Tate performance- And that's saying something!

    Mike Tyson-Tyrell Biggs.

Biggs was an undefeated Olympian Gold Medallist with a world class jab.

He hadn´t looked good in his last bout (come from behind ko of David Bey) but had shown guts in outpointing power punching Jeff Simms with a broken collar bone using just his left hand for 8 rounds.

Tyson was favourite but he was relentless in destroying Tyrell who after a solid 1st round was broken down and destroyed in 7. Biggs never recovered.

Peak performance on par with the Berbick win.

Kid Gavilan's best performance was likely his 4th meeting w/ Graham, but that fight isn't on film (that I know of, at least).

Out of his actual filmed fights, I'd pick his rematch w/ Pruden as his best.

I don’t have a singular favorite so I’ll list a few of mine and imo their best performance (which doesn’t equate to biggest win necessarily, just the fight in which they looked best):

Sandy Saddler: Pep I, where he wiped the floor with Willie in four brutal rounds.

Ray Leonard: Dave Boy Green. Just devastating.

Roberto Duran: I’m going to go outside the box here and say Carlos Palomino. Complete masterclass.

Larry Holmes: Cooney. (There’s a good argument to be made that Larry looked best against Ali, but Muhammad put up no resistance so I can’t really credit it no matter how Holmes performed)

Archie Moore: Lot to choose from here — Durelle for the heart and fortitude, some of his heavyweight wins were quite good, same for wins over Harold Johnson … but I’m going to go with Maxim III. Moore completely dominated and twice put down the uber-durable Maxim twice.

Thomas Hearns against either Pipino Cuevas or Roberto Duran--(two fights when the "Hit Man" was at his devastating best!!)

    Win … if you can.

    Lose … if you must.

    But always, always cheat.

Alexis Arguello against Kevin Rooney. My personal favorite showing from him, especially the one punch KO.
