We will see about that, I personally think that Hopkins vs. Joe will look somewhat like Taylor vs. Hopkins II.
I won't seize to be a fan of Joe Calzaghe's, I already know he's the greatest 168lbs'er that ever lived :yep

Considering its @ LHW, and that Bernard never was a SMW.. yes:huh
But he's not been schooled by a 43 year old man, so why make things up?

The thing Joe does that is brilliant but also basic that now a days fighters fall for is he drops his guard leaving his chin exposed. The fighter hence automatically like an idiot goes head hunting and misses and he counters. He is baiting for the attack. Kessler had the offensive prowess to beat Calzaghe. But him being an idiot he fell for it and tried for the one punch knockout every round until he gased out. Fighters like Bhop and Toney and Jones know these little basic tricks of the trade, as they are MASTERS of them. With Calzaghe his body is very stationary. All you have to do is aim for his head a few times with a jab or feint. Sure he might get some counters off and that what you want. Let him feel confident that he has your timing and then aim for the chest with your right hand and you will probably catch him ducking. He is not that hard to find. You just have to know you are going to take a few slap shots to get off. Toney would DISECT him,so would Roy. Calzaghe never fought a SMART fighter that knows the game. You can just see Toney playing possom with Calzaghe and Calzaghe opening up in which he is open and Toney just clobbering the **** out of him with a right hand or tagging him in between or after his flurries of shots that have no effect on JT whatsoever. Calzaghe is just the best at 168 RIGHT NOW. He is not the best guy all around like the guys mentioned above.

Who is a better fighter at 160 or 175 that Hopkins has beaten than Kessler at 168?

    Agreed.

The only guys I see bothering Jones at LHW are Foster, Moorer and Spinks. It was a toss up...I went with Foster because of the power factor.

Let us not chat about ducking Hopkins doubled his asking price from $3M to $6M in 01 or 02.

Winky's best is at 154, so beating a litteraly fat Winky at 170 is not that impressive.

Tarver you know what you are saying, yeah?

You honestly think that Kessler has no power? He doesn't have one punch power, but he must have some power, otherwise why does so many of his opponents quit? Eric Lucas, Manny Siaca.

Well in fact he does have one punch - punching power; Beyer KO'ed by one punch. Julio Cesar Green KO'ed by one body punch.

The thing is: He has great ring generalship, he is clever, he has enough of a punch to keep Pavliks respect. He has by far more power than Taylor, who if i remember correctly send Pavlik down. Kessler is accurate and Pavlik has no defence: Kessler Beats Pavlik!

Kesslers power is not frigtening, no. But it is very good, his punches all has steam behind them. Kessler is a smart fighter, his corner sucks though. He has showed that in so many fights, keeping his cool and getting hit very few times against power punchers like Siaca and Andrade. Kesslers weakness might be against fast fighter like Calzaghe, but every single time he has fought a 'power puncher', he has barely got hit. Sure they are not in the class of Pavlik, but Pavlik is yet to face someone who is a ELITE BOXER, like Kessler. BTW: If Taylor could hit Pavlik flush with several power shots, who says Kessler can't?

I really hope for it too, but it won't happen as Pavlik and his promoters are smart enough to consider the risk/reward issue.
