After the Cotto/bronco fight, larry interviews Cotto and then gives a final note about the fight before saying; "On the plane coming to to san won, big strapping kid approaches me and tells me that he's come back from two years in a iraq, had a traumatic divorce, became a drink and couldn't get his "legs back" so to speak until someone took him to a gym and tried to make a fighter out of him and now he is an amateur fighter. That day he said he had ran four miles and boxed 15 rounds and now he was going to meet his girl in san wan (spelling?) - Good luck kid" That was a cool thing to do I thought.
I got a couple, I loved just before the Miranda-Pavlik fight when he defined and used the term "Krunk". It took him like an hour to get it out which made it even funnier. "This fight...figures to be...Krunk!" Also when he said the ref should be pistol whipped after the Roy Jones - Richard Hall fight. He was very enthusiastic about it as well.
I think it was the Bernard Hopkins - Antonio Tarver fight...at one point, Larry said, "they're not doing a whole lot to keep us awake, here..." damn, I busted out laughing because he was right!
When he attacked that fan during his interview of Daniel Zaraggozza after the Wayne McCullough fight: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK2BLeYprfg[/ame]
There are too many to pick a defined favorite, but one of them is when he gave Mayorga a smoke in the post fight interview
Ah man I remmeber that.I always thought that was one of Larry's finest thoughts. Really moving.Good ol' Larr did it then. There are many moments that he seemed kind but many also where he seemed nasty, for example to give you one in contrast to yours post Glen Johnson-Tarver II(june 05 on week after Tyson's last fight): ''...Hopefully the final final thoughts on Mike Tyson who says his career is over....Last week his fans....his gulable fans aswell as the anything for a story media saw the many talents of Mike Tyson,he tried to butt his opponent,he tried to bite him, brake his arm and when all that didn't work...he quit, just like any bully would.Mike Tyson has had a strange, dramatic career,he hasn't been the same Mike Tyson as he admits since he fought Buster Douglas when after that fight he tried to have it voided legally...a KO voided legallyand altough he says he doesn't wanna embarass the sport anymore when hasn't he embarassed the sport since that time? He's been an extraordinary phenomenon over these many years because of a rare combination of power, electricity and a lil bit of craziness thrown in.Hopefully it's all over now.He was a tragedy as a human being aswell as a fighter, perhaps he can go away in peace now.'' Larry really let him have it,I was shocked when hearing it,never knew he didn't like Tyson that much.
