I was just scrolling through youtube and I remembered a good moment during the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight.

They had just broken from a hold and Calzaghe caught Hopkins with a quick punch while Hopkins wasn't paying much attention...Hopkins came back INSTANTLY with a right hand across his head as if to say "I'm not going to get punked like that"...that basically was the fight for me.

    1. Tommy Hearns corkscrewing Cuevas to the canvas with that big right hand back in 1981. All of Detroit was cheering.

    2. Hopkins landing the right that finally put down Tito. Validation for one of my favorite boxers.

    3. A recent one: Casa landing that left that finally put an end to his war with Katsidas. An exciting end to an amazing fight.

    Barrera vs Nas

When Barrera takes Hamed and slams his head to the corner of the ring. One of my fav moments but maybe that's just me since I wanted Nas to lose badly

Somewhere around Round 3 of the Calzaghe/Lacy fight - Joe starts yelling "HE AINT ****".

Mayweather's Ass Whoopin he was putting on Gatti for talking to the Ref.

Roy putting his hands behind his back and then knocking the guy down (forgot his name)".

    "Any Excuses Roy" - Priceless.

And Damn Near anything Emmauel Augustus does - he's ****ing entertaining.

    Brilliant idea for a thread.

I'll probably think of more, but here are a couple of mine off the top of my head:

    - The minute leading up to James Toney flooring Vassily Jirov. Although I have seen a lot of 91-94 prime Toney on video, I never saw any of it live. I saw Toney-Jirov though, and remember screaming at the tv as Toney started to show flashes of the old genius in his work, just ****ing brilliant! When Jirov fell, you knew Toney was the cruiserweight champion of the world.

    - Round 1 of Pacquiao-Marquez I. This was the 3 minutes that established these guys as my top 2 fighters (I had been a Pac fan since Barrera I, but hadn't yet realized how good Marquez was til this clash). Pac was his usual rapier, scintillating self, and that Marquez didn't get stopped showed me he had special heart and steel. (and in the rest of that fight, proved his skill too)

    - The moment in the 13th or 14th round of Arguello-Pryor I when Arguello hits Pryor with his trademark straight hook straight to the head, it hits Pryor so hard it actually snaps his head back so he's facing the ceiling for a split second- and then keeps coming. The hardest punch ever thrown that didn't result in a knockdown, in an unforgettable fight between two magnificent fighters.

That's your favourite Calzaghe moment? Fake fan. Or maybe you're just a mad B-Hop hater, who cares.

Mine is when Calzaghe stopped Byron Mitchell- a master at work.
