I've never seen a KO like it in my life. Graham was fine, actually he was sharp and aggressive, and the nano-second Jackson's glove made contact with him, he was unconscious. Bizarre, frightening, and awesome. True testimony to a 1-punch KO King.
herol graham was very much the nearly man of british boxing, massively talented just missed that undefineable x factor that makes a great fighter.
Lots of good stuff on this thread! There are just to many great moments in boxing to say that I have just one favorite moment. However, here's one of my favorite knock outs EVER. To really appreciate it you have to keep it in its historical context. It was Arguello's 1st fight at 140, and part of the build up to Arguello/Pryor. Rooney had only 1 loss at the time, and that was to Davey Moore! And then this **** right here happened to him! [YT]NGIUQ1mcZ_U[/YT]
This . . . This content is protected . . . and I enjoyed every moment of it. :yep :good A trash talker's ass being handed to him by the opponent.
Kostya Tszyu knocking out loud mouth Judah. I was at a bar and the place just erupted. One of my personal favourites
Roy Jones Jr. putting his hands behind his back vs. Kelly Johnson getting up and KOing Ketchel James Toney KOing Michael Nunn I guess the whole Torres-Holt II fight.
Morales turning southpaw. Proving he could take pacs best shot over and over and over... Everyone went crazy when that happen. I was yelling "NO" at the tv. Then to finish it off what he says in the interview after the fight. "Did you like it? There you go"
Pavlik knocking out Taylor in the 7th round Corales beating Castillo after getting knocked down twice Buster Douglas knocking Tyson out for his Mamma Gatti standing toe to toe with Ward in the 9th
In no order: - The classic round of the 'No Mas' fight in which Leonard does the Ali shuffle, sticks his head out and drops his guard, winds up one arm and hits with the other, etc. A lesson in showboating and complete humiliation. - Leonard's furious flurries off the ropes against Hagler in one of the late rounds. - Hamed literally dancing madly while avoiding punches and scoring his own against Badillo. One of the most entertaining things I've seen in the ring. - Whitaker peppering Ramirez with punches and then jumping away just as Ramirez throws his own punch and catches only air. It must've felt like he was fighting a ghost. Pity that the judges were absolute morons. - Ali springing off the ropes like a cat and knocking out Foreman with that utterly blinding combination, showing that critical flash of his younger self. Even better is the way he cocked one last punch as Foreman fell but never threw it -- he just held it there, held it right until Foreman collapsed. Whether it was due to mercy, not wanting to waste energy or just knowing he'd done enough already, I've always thought that was the most poetic moment of the fight. - Roy Jones Jr opening his guard in a cocky way to Toney -- Toney tries to do it right back, and instantly catches a lightning left-hook that sends him staggering all the way across the ring like some sort of drunk cripple. Hilarious. - Morales turning southpaw in the final round of his first fight with Pac. Absolutely amazing moment that perfectly summed up his personality and attitude to fighting. - Hamed knocking Kelley out after one of the most exciting featherweight bouts I've seen, and Foreman's shouts of: "He's for real! He's for real! The Prince is for real!" - Briggs throws around three/four punches at Lewis and all of them miss, because Lewis shrugs away from them very slightly. Lewis then stands there, smiles, and throws out a hard, hard combination that blows Briggs right off his feet. - Odd pick, but Tyson and Holyfield's interaction just after the second (and last) bite. Holyfield jumps up and down and then comes right at Tyson, determined -- Tyson beckons him in like some sort of animal, and they go at it. Dramatic, disturbing, and unique moment in the sport. - A faded Whitaker doing this to a young, fast De La Hoya: This content is protected - Ali dodging those punches from Terrell in the clip Selfkill posted here. Beautiful reflexes, and he does it with such apparent ease, as if the punches are coming at him in slow motion.
