now everyone will say robinson/pep/gavilan etc just for the sake of it..... all they've seen is just a photo of these fighters:rofl:rofl:rofl
Wilfredo Gomez for me. Edit: Oh ****, didn't read the OP, I'm not sure about 1900-1960's there usually isn't much footage available on them, I'll say Joe Louis I think he's the most admirable for me personally.

Harry Greb, definitely. I became a fan after watching an old film of him I bought at a garage sale a few years ago, of him and Gene Tunney fighting at the Garden.
László Papp 3 time Olympic Gold medallist(48,52,56). He became the first boxer in Olympic history to win three successive gold medals. His story is really amazing. Since Hungary was a communist country at the time he couldn't go professional in Hungary. So he travelled to Vienna for each fight. He dominated everyone in Europe and had a world championship fight lined up then Hungary denied him an exit visa and it ended Papp pro career. He retired undefeated in 29 fight I read a really amazing book about his life. He truly is one of boxing greatest and one of boxing lesser known
