Your favorite quote by a boxer

I first heard this in 1979 or thereabouts from Bruce “The Mouse” Strauss after he got KO’d in my town against the local guy who was main eventing.

I think his version was: “Everybody has a plan until they get hit with a brick.”

The Mouse definitely got hit square in the fight I saw him. Probably left the target out there to take a shot to go down and go home a bit early. The local guy wasn’t a big puncher so it probably wasn’t a 100% legit result, and I knew enough about Strauss at the time to be suspect about it.
