Rudy Battle. Especially when he refereed Simon Brown fights. He let Brown practically decapitate opponents before he'd stop the bout. He was old school in that way. I've seen way too many premature stoppages in my day to not like and prefer old school.

Arthur Donavan from the good old days 1930s & 40s must have refereed about a million fights, he's in darn near every picture of that era that you see. I too, liked Richard Steele, and Mills Lane everybody loved, me thinks!
