    What exactly is funny?

Roy Jones used the "it's my mandatory I have to fight him or get stripped" line to fight a selection of police officers and sanitation workers yet when Nunn was his WBC mandatory he never fought him. That's not hating, that's a fact.

Young? I have been watching Boxing since before you were an itch in your father's nutsack, that is why I am fully aware of all the disgraceful duckjobs that Roid pulled and why I remember when even HBO was calling him out on his cherrypicking. Obviously you are too young to recall those things or too mentally incapacitated to have understood the implications of his actions. Run along, kiddo.:hi:

    What is Roy Jones?

    A steroids cheat.
    A massive cherry picker.
    A bogus "undisputed" champion.
    A compulsive liar.
    A glass jawed disgrace.
    An egomaniac.
    A **** rapper.

why are you telling tales on your own thread ? HBO never called roy out on cherrypicking, the truth is nobody wanted to fight him point blank, yes he made things tough by promoting himself but he cashed in rather than giving most of his purses to slimeballs like arum/king etc imo roy in his prime gives anyone and i mean anyone a fight at 160lbs.

Bull****, everybody at HBO was calling him Reluctant Roy back in the '90s and it was a common thread in the boxing media and among fans that he was giving the fans **** fights and cherrypicking easy or vacant titles. And nobody wanted to fight him? Nunn wanted to fight him and Roid offered him 90/10. Benn, Eubank, and McClellan wanted a piece of them and he ducked and dodged them while they fought each other and then, instead of retaining some dignity and taking on what was left of them he priced himself out of the fights and went to collect more worthless titles from cabbies and sanitation workers.

You obviously know nothing about this so I suggest you leave this thread before you are made to look even stupider than the above can suggest.

Yes they did nuthugger Larry Merchant asked him many times after his **** fights "when are you gonna make the big fights" and Roy constantly replied "they my mandatory's Larry! I gotta fight them or they take my belt." He was called Reluctant Roy. Fact.

He was never the 175lbs champion. He was obsessed with collecting paper trinkets as shown by him fighting for the WBF rather than making the big fights.

There were two fights discussed. One at middle in the early 90s and one later on.

And your opinion on him doesn't matter. Jones didn't want to fight him.

****ing hell mate, be real here.

Nunn was stretched by Toney in 1991. Jones was still building a decent resume at that point.

By 1993, Nunn was getting his ass kicked on the Benn/ Eubank undercard at Super Middle, by Little, when Jones was taking his first title from Bernard Hopkins at 160.

A year later Nunn lost AGAIN to Frankie Liles, while Jones was slapping a top three pound for pound entrant sideways in James Toney.

You're trouble is you're used to talking to ****in idiots pal! Where does Nunn fit in exactly? When that fight was discussed again in the late nineties people feared for Nunn's health because he was old and shot to ****!
