Your Favorite Roy Jones Glass Shattering?

A test showed Roy Jones had used steroids.

I am not sure why he gets a pass for it.

 

Jones didnt fight Hopkins at that time. The fight was trying to be made there as Hopkins was then an established MW champ. When Jones beat Hopkins they were both very green. I actually think Hopkins was to blame for that fight not happening then.
I think Jones was P4P #2 at that time (could be wrong) I thought Hopkins was #1 at the time. As said could be wrong.

Out of that list of fighters he did fight 3 of them but not at the time when asked. Hopkins was a former opponent, so from that point up to the end of his reign he only fought 2 of them and Telesco wasnt that great was he?
Fighting and getting beat by McClellan as an amateur doesnt mean a great deal but Jones didnt fight him as a pro.
In fact Jones coud be considered a paper champ for most of his career.
Fact is Jones didnt meet the top man and true LHW champ Michalczewski.
Then Jones didnt want to face the next true linear champ Erdei when Jones was WBO mandatory

And isn't it a bit of a contradiction when you say champions test themselves ,well what the hell did Jones do when he beat Hopkins and moved up to super middle to fight the best fighter p4p and the current ibf champ ? Which one is it then ??


And the only reason he didnt fight Gerald in the pros was due to his injury he suffered in the Benn fight again know what your talking about !

Some of Roy Jones' defences when he was the so called P4P#1 were quite frankly atrocious.

 

Jones NEVER fought or beat DM who was THE Light Heavyweight Champion of the World. Jones took 2 of his belts that were stripped. You can unify all the belts that you want but when THERE IS ALREADY A LINEAL AND LEGIT Champion it doesn't matter. DM was THE Champion Roy unifying 3 belts (2 of which were really DM's) mean ZERO in that scenario. Nothing. Do you understand this? It is like when Tyson unified the WBC, IBF, WBA he wasn't THE Champion until he fought Spinks. Do you understand this?

Roy was scared his Glass Jaw was going to get smashed so he would not make the fight. He literally left 5 fights on the table all the while parading around with all these trinket belts fighting awful opposition and calling himself the P4P #1 fighter in the World while other fighters at the time were taking on more meaningful and credible fights. His own network was calling him Reluctant Roy for christ sakes and mocking his opposition. :rofl

 

That clip was disgraceful. Steve Collins was stood right next to Jones and they didn't even let him speak:rofl.

 

From what I can see you are the people refusing to lay out your argument.

Roy Jones Jr chose to fight the loser of Hill-Michealswaski and then proceeded to pick up belts that the corrupt ABCs stripped from Dariusz. He paraded around the 175lb division but never was the man. He chose to fight a host of absolute nobodies and was given the name Reluctant Roy for a reason.

These above statements are not hating, they are fact.
