Manny Steward for me hands down, no questions asked. He is probably my favorite figure who is associated with the sport in any way, including fighters. God I miss that man. Who's yours?
I love Steward. The other day I was lamenting the fact that he isn't here to see this fight - such a shame. An absolute gentleman with a gigantic heart. He was a fantastic trainer, but an even better person.

:good It really is a shame he won't see the fight this saturday. I'm not a religious or spiritual person at all, but I still like to think that Manny will be watching somewhere. I met him once 10 years ago at a restaurant with my father in LA, he was with Tommy. That day my dad and I met our favorite fighter and our favorite trainer. Both of them were as charming as you'd expect. We let them know how much we'd loved watching them work together and Manny invited us to sit down. I was 28 at the time and my dad was in his late 60s. His eyes got so big when Manny asked us to sit down I thought he was going to cry. To this day it's one of the fondest memories of my entire life. It absolutely broke my heart watching Tommy speak at Manny's tribute. RIP Manny.
very hard to pick there are so many but my top trainers in no particular order all time are Eddie Papa Smurf Futch Angelo Dundee Manny Steward Freddie Roach I like Freddie because his mentor was Eddie Futch & Freddie has many of Eddie's ways
Steward for me.. not just because he literally did everything you can do as a trainer. But also for the pure passion he always had for the sport. Listening to him get super excited when he was commentating a fight was just great. There was also never a hidden agenda with him, he would give other fighters and trainers their just due and respect.
I really like what Rogers has done with Floyd. His pad work looks funny but its essential to Floyd's game. I would love to see if he could do the same for another fighter
